The Root-Stone Lodge is now available as a 6 bedroom 6.5 bathroom house on Strawberry Creek, with a hot tub, 2 living rooms with stone fireplaces, 2 back decks, 4 balconies, a full kitchen, and several kitchenettes. Update: Fresh snow last night (1/24/2021) too, and more coming!! It is lovely up here!!
Original post: First snow storm this winter!! 🤩 Come visit us at Root-Stone Lodge! The North Wing is booked weekends into January, but has availability during the week. And we just added a studio apartment for vacation rental, Mountainside, which still has some availability.

This is the living room of the North Wing, at the Root-Stone Lodge. It has a kitchenette, with 2 burners, a toaster oven, a microwave, a mini-fridge (plus a mini-fridge in each of the 3 rooms), and some pots, dishes and utensils, and Keurig coffee maker. We are open to suggestions as to what else would make this space wonderful!
Update January 2021: our manager (and sister) Tara recently added a much bigger refrigerator, and an air fryer that everyone seems to love! I can't wait to get up there and check it out!

Covid update: The North Wing of the Lodge, which has the 3 "Star Rooms" up the spiral staircase from the main living room, is currently available for short-term or longer term rental. This is a "home", with a private entrance, living room, kitchenette, bedrooms with attached bathrooms and private balconies, and back deck with whirlpool bath overlooking Strawberry Creek. The rooms are not available for rent individually at this time because of Covid.

The two studio apartments, Mountainside and Creekside, are only available for monthly rental at this time, and are currently booked at least through August. Message us for more info, or check us out on Airbnb (links in message below).

Here are the links to book the Root-Stone Lodge in Idyllwild! At the moment, the "North Wing" is available for a whole house rental, with a 2 night minimum. It is the right half of the Lodge, which has a private entrance, living room, kitchenette, 3 upstair bedrooms with their own private balconies, TVs and bathrooms, and it's own back deck and hot tub. We also have 2 studio apartments (Creekside and Mountainside) available for monthly rentals. These are currently occupied, but may be available starting in August. Summer is a great time to escape to the mountains!

Due to Covid isolation laws in Riverside County, short-term rentals are not allowed except for medical workers and people needing a safe place to isolate temporarily.
The "Creekside" studio apartment will be available for someone in this situation after June 3rd, or for a longer term rental with application and background check.
The 3 "Star Rooms" with the living room, kitchenette and whirlpool bath will be available after May 7.
We are putting at least 3 days between tenants so we can more safely clean and disinfect. We are not renting any rooms short-term at the moment.

COVID-19 Update: Our manager wants you to know that every room is disinfected between guests. If you're looking for a place to getaway for awhile, think of the Root-Stone Lodge in Idyllwild! Hiking is just about the safest thing to do these days! You can have the whole Star Rooms portion of the house to yourselves. Each room has its own mini-fridge, coffee maker and TV, with private bathrooms and balconies!
