A BIG WIN FOR FLORIDA VACATION RENTALS!

We are pleased to announce on, June 28th 2024, Governor DeSantis Vetoed Senate Bill 280 pertaining to Florida Vacation Rentals. This overreaching legislation was passed by the Florida House and Senate several months ago.
FAVR and its hundreds of members (including ECL) and partners rallied against this bill as it made its way through the legislative process. Thanks to you, we pushed thousands of emails, calls and facilitated dozens of face to face meetings over the past 6 months. FAVR and its lobby team were relentless in the advocacy efforts related to this bill. But rest assured, this bill will return in some form at the end of this year.

Locals and Visiting Guests: PLEASE make sure if it’s windy to lower your umbrella if you walk away from it. Even if you think it is firmly in the sand. A single gust of wind can lift it out. Especially if you are using a corkscrew to hold the umbrella.
