Early news about Indian Rocks Beach.

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report. Where to start…I’m not on the beach but here is what it appears. IRB did not take a storm surge. The eye made landfall at another popular beach, Siesta Key. This located in the Sarasota area just to our south. There is wide spread damage in our area. Thousands are without power and we are under a stay in place order. We had tons of rain and very high winds. Rain flooding is an issue. The roof of Tropicana field was blown off and a crane fell in St. Pete. However we did not get the surge because of being on the north side of the storm. Our friends just to south in Sarasota, Ft. Myers and points south took the surge. Barrier Islands will likely be closed for a period of time so we will stay put where we are. We will send updates as we get info. Thanks!

Good morning! It's going to be a nice sunny November day on Indian Rocks Beach!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from 17th Ave. Starting out with some clouds and some sun. Nice and comfortable on the beach this morning. A little cool but warming up quickly. Less wind than previous days and no rain in the forecast. We are back open with cabanas for a wind block which will make it a nice beach day. Have a great day!

Good morning IRB! Daily Beach report from IRB Chairs at 17th Ave. Beautiful morning on the beach with a bright sun and lite breeze. Starting out much warmer than the last couple days with low humidity. The breeze is expected to pick up a little from the north later today, but not an issue. No rain in the forecast and warming up close to 80. Low tide is right now so a big beach and plenty of room. Overall a really nice fall beach day. Have a great day! 🌴😎
