We’re happy to announce the opening of our newest vacation home along the Gulf Coast of Florida! Located in Gulf Harbors neighborhood of New Port Richey, on a salt water canal that leads out to the Gulf of Mexico for boating and fishing. Includes kayaks and bikes. Club cars and boats for rent in the neighborhood. Just in time for a winter of Florida sunshine. 🌞

Our hearts ache for the pain being suffered 60 miles south of us. Ian was aiming for our area in Tampa, Indian Shores, and Tarpon Springs. Somehow we were spared but will be volunteering all weekend. If you are displaced or needing of anything in Florida, please contact us.

Look what the Easter Bunny 🐰 brought us! We’re just loving the statues created and made by a local artist. Manatee Vacation House in Tarpon Springs now has a manatee family next to the front porch, to greet visitors. The Buddha statue is in a zen corner of the yard, that John is designing, just past the pool at Pelican Vacation House in Tampa.

Check out this rather new accent wall at Dolphin Splash Beach Condo. It's a little wild but we love it and seems like a trendy addition to the entry way. What do you think of accent walls? We're considering similar ideas as we look at opening another vacation rental.

We’re happy guests are visiting this new Makes Splashes Vacations house and creating their memories while traveling! We’ve nicknamed it Manatee Splash Vacation House since it’s just a short stroll from where the manatees gather in Spring Bayou. It’s not common to find a house newly built for vacation rentals and we’re happy to make this an option for travelers who are visiting Tarpon Springs sponge docks or using this as a base for exploring Clearwater, Tampa, Dunedin, or Honeymoon Island.

Here is what one of our first guests, Michael, had to say after his visit in early February:

“This location is AMAZING. The bakery and restaurants are just down the street and the bayou is a short walk to relax and watch the manatee and dolphins. The community is sooo friendly and the house is immaculate. I cannot stress how convenient this home is to everything!”
