New year. New you? New vintage-inspired wallpaper by chance?

Can't get enough of the magic that is this paper...in not one but 2️⃣ versions!

Our (on both kitchen walls) is by .w.design. Available in paper and fabrics, as well as many other finished items. (Check our feed for some examples in the kitchen and the entryway for your own fun ideas!)

p.s. That's a faucet and cast iron sink in the background for anyone who's curious. All sitting atop our Michigan-grown butcher block. This kitchen makes everyone smile. 😊

One of our favorite little surprises on our back landing (just off the kitchen) is the . "Look Up" was created by (Annisa Tiara Utami)—a celebrated female artist from Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

It just so happens that the astronaut in all her glory is a perfect match for our paint pick for this area—Blue Spa 2052-40—a unique medium blue that dips slightly into turquoise. Blue Spa is a complementary color for some of our other paint palette selections such as Stokes Forest Green and Spruce Green.

We found this print by Annisa on .okay (Art for Causes) and had it shipped all the way from the UK. Andy okay raises money for important causes by offering incredible limited edition art in a choose-your-own-price model. What you give for your art benefits important organizations, and we’re all about art that makes a difference and supports female artists along the way.

The sunny days are getting further and farther between, and the leaves have all but dropped. We're squarely marching towards winter and that means reimagining the fun, vibrant front porch furniture (and plants) to prepare for the chill of winter...

But, it also means preparing for the joy of snowflakes and warm nights inside with friends, movies and hot cocoa.

This original hardwood door that’s now pushing *almost* 8️⃣0️⃣ years old is a real showstopper. Isn't she a beauty?!?!

You can find doors like this all over as part of the hundreds that were built during the mid-century time period by the Justus family on Indianapolis’ east side.
