The new multi pass lightning lane system at Disney debuted this week- and I went to Magic Kingdom today to test it out! My verdict? I LOVE it!! For $25 you get to start with 3 lightning lane passes. And you can replace them as you use them!! Here is a list of what we did today using our Lightning Lanes and using the standbys line. By planning strategically, we rarely waited over 15 min to do anything!!!

Epcot After Hours Event

We knew from the get go tonight would be a slower paced and shorter night than last night. Test Track is closed for reimaging. The loss of that ride made this night event Inferior and I wouldn’t recommend it because there just isn’t enough exciting rides to do. Neither of the boys wanted to ride Guardians and John wasn’t feeling a few others (living the land, spaceship earth etc). If I had to do it again, I would skip this event and just come back for a regular park day so at least you could enjoy the world Showcase as well. It was SO much better last summer. The park was really dark and the carts with the free drinks/treats were hard to find because they weren’t lit up or anything. There was an hour between the park closing and the event starting where you couldn’t find any food or drinks because the special stuff hadn’t started and the regular stuff was closed. The ap didn’t show wait times for this hour either making it harder to plan. At HS last night there was only a 30 min difference between park closing and event starting which seemed more workable and there were food and drink options available. We also didn’t come across any character meets tonight! Total bummer. We did get to enjoy Luminous the Symphony of Us which was a positive! I hadn’t seen the show before and was impressed. Overall though all 3 of us feel disappointed in this evenings event compared to last nights and comparing it to when we did it last summer. So in summary, unless you want to ride Guardians (25 min wait) over and over again from 10-1, I’d skip this one til Test Track opens again so you have a bit more excitement available in the ride options!

Heading to Disney on Wednesday with the family for the week! First up we will be checking out the after hour events at HS and Epcot! We did these last summer and they were are favorite moments!!! We will then be visiting each of the parks the rest of the week. So be prepared for some Disney overload this next week!!!

For those traveling in the fall or winter to Disney-
Genie+ is being phased out July 24, but no worries, I will be heading to MK on the 27th for a down in back in a day trip to test out the new lighting lane multi pass that’s replacing it! The things I do to make sure my clients know how to work it! 😉😜🤣

Disney is making changes again to their “skip the line” process. This new way starting July 24 is VERY similar to the old fast pass+ system pre Covid… except it’s not free. Genie+ is going away July 23. Don’t worry though- I am heading to Magic Kingdom July 27 just for the day with my sister to research how this new process works!!

I don’t normally do so many specialty dining experiences on a cruise, but we have really enjoyed them this week! Lunch at Chop’s I purchased on Black Friday and got it for 50% off. Dinner at Giovanni’s was 40% off thanks to the supervisor offering the deal to us while we were at Park Cafe for lunch yesterday. Tonight we just looked at the ap, saw lots of availability at the Brazilian Steakhouse, so we called and asked if they were offering and discounts to make a reservation for tonight- and they gave us 20% off! So we have eaten GOOD this week, but still bougie on a budget!!!! All 3 specialty dining restaurants were ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!
