Happy November! The Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, or repairing the world, implies that we all have the responsibility to work for the healing of the world, so with just a few weeks until Thanksgiving, we want to make sure all our neighbors in need have the funds to purchase the essentials for a festive meal with loved ones.
We look forward to our continued support of Jewish Family Services Indianapolis, HVAF - Helping Veterans And Families, St. Mary's Early Childhood Center, Southeast Community Services, and Grassroot Projects just to name a few, and this year our goal is to extend our reach to other organizations such as Indiana Youth Group (IYG), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, and Washington Township Schools.
In Jewish tradition, the number 18 symbolizes life, so by contributing $36 (or more) at JCCindy.org/donate, you are doubling your impact by providing gift cards to these deserving families AND enriching your own life through the act of giving. Todah rabah (thank you very much) for your support!
It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since these faces were taken hostage into Gaza and 1,200 more were murdered by Hamas in the largest massacre in Jewish history since the Holocaust. Join us and all of the other Jewish organizations in Indianapolis at Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation this coming Monday as we remember and pray for these victims and those who have fallen since. Register for the program at https://bit.ly/oct7remembrance (RSVPs required for security purposes); to volunteer (there are still a few slots available), sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084EAFAB22A5FAC07-50650085-october#/
