We'll be attempting snow removal from the ice rink tomorrow morning (2/15) around 9-10am - and possibly thoughout the day. If you'd like to help, we would welcome you! It looks like tomorrow will be a winter wonderland skating kind of experience ❄️⛸️

Cross Country skis Calkins Nature Area for free.
Both are free with a library card or by calling and showing up. The river is thick and a winter playland.

The ice is so perfect right now! We do have limited quantities of skates available, here, but if you're local and have your library card we recommend stoping in to the Barlow Memorial Library to check out your sizes. Then come on down and enjoy the weather!

Scenic City Empress Boat Club is requesting project bids to address a water leak in the roof of our Riverboat, as well as other general beautification/needed updates - This project will need to be seen in person, before presenting the bid, to understand how the repairs will need to be addressed - Bids are due by February 1st, 2025. With temps being above freezing, the ice is wet and sloppy. It IS still thick enough (10 inches) to skate though!

We had some busy elves today, clearing the ice! The zamboni hasn't gone across to perfect it but it is skatable!
