Such a bucket list experience staying at an authentic castle in Ireland. There is so much history in Dromoland Castle that you can feel in every hallway. Period artwork, tapestries and sculpture adorns every room. I was secretly hoping for a ghost encounter but wasn’t lucky enough to lure one in.

There’s a new luxury cruise line in the game now called Explora Journeys. This low capacity, 5 star product will compete with the cream of the crop of suite and butler level brands. Rhe big news is that we will be sailing the Explora I next week from Miamii to Colombia and finishing in Panama’s City. My experience aboard the Star Clipper was so different than any other cruise I had been on. Accommodations were comfortable and well thought out considering the amount of space they have to work with. Public spaces aboard the ship are multifunction areas that are used throughout the sailing. Lines for sails adorn the top deck and a lot of stepping over and under ropes is a requirement. This is definitely not a cruise for those that are mobility challenged as there are no elevators and the ship moves quite a bit. I call this an “Experiential” ship as you don’t just lay around and relax the entire time. In this post, you can see my cabin and many of the public areas.
