We've had the great good fortune of having Mr. Kim Duly as our consultant for the last few years. His background is in HACCP and Food Safety and we've benefitted greatly from having him in on a weekly basis to help us be better at what we do.

Earlier this year Kim decided to retire and today is his last day with us. He's a quiet fellow. Soft spoken. The biggest thing about him, besides his vast experience and knowledge, is his moustache. Today we celebrate Kim and his Moustache.

What a great reminder of our selves, our worth and what's important. Thank you Randy Pausch for sharing this Last Lecture with us. We were born the same year and the first time I listened to this was long before cancer. 10+ years later it's even more significant for me. Enjoy the listen!

This year marked the 29th Annual Hal Rosoff Race at the NAC! Over 200 racers came down to participate in this annual event. Racers from all around Southern California chose from either a 11 mile, 6 miles or 4 mile course.

I hope you all have had a great Thanksgiving weekend and are prepared for the holiday crush.

For years Village Green Foods has supported events at the Newport Aquatic Center. Along with so many other great events, the Newport Aquatic Center host the annual 6-person Outrigger Catalina Crossing Race which hosts 100+ teams racing from Newport Beach to Catalina and back. I never participated in this race, but I did get to ride on es**rt boats a couple of times.

Here is a VERY cool video on the 2023 race produced by . Thanks to Southern California Outrigger Racing Association (SCORA) for putting on this event year after year. Amazing team effort!

This year's speaker is Amy Huang, Associate Director of Scientific Ecosystems at the Good Food Institute. Amy's presentation will be on alternate proteins and what the Good Food Institute is doing in that arena.
