On Saturday, February 8th, the Hal Rosoff Classic took place at the Newport Aquatic Center under sunny skies. The annual paddling race in Newport Harbor featured both short and long courses for Outriggers, Kayaks, Prone, K1’s, C1’s, and Stand Up Paddle Boards. With 100-200 participants from Southern California, the event was a lively success!

Willie and Jenny Rosoff were there to support of course! After all, the event honors their father Hal Rosoff, a prominent OC restaurateur and philanthropist. He was a big supporter of the boathouse and outrigger canoe racing.🛶

🌱 provided the delicious chili lunch as per tradition! 💕
🎗️Proceeds from the race benefit the NAC Junior Outrigger program.

We've had the great good fortune of having Mr. Kim Duly as our consultant for the last few years. His background is in HACCP and Food Safety and we've benefitted greatly from having him in on a weekly basis to help us be better at what we do.

Earlier this year Kim decided to retire and today is his last day with us. He's a quiet fellow. Soft spoken. The biggest thing about him, besides his vast experience and knowledge, is his moustache. Today we celebrate Kim and his Moustache.

This year marked the 29th Annual Hal Rosoff Race at the NAC! Over 200 racers came down to participate in this annual event. Racers from all around Southern California chose from either a 11 mile, 6 miles or 4 mile course.
