For the next week (most likely longer) the only remaining western flights out of Ukraine are by Austrian and Lufthansa from Lviv. Ukrainian carriers and LCC remain operating in Kyiv, for now, but even the LCCs are expected to cease within the next 24-48 hours.

Please be advised that your flight options are going to become more and more limited in the coming days. At this time, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has ceased operations into Ukraine due to increased security concerns. Please be advised.

Again, we are ready and waiting to assist you with your travel needs during this difficult time.

Dutch airline KLM announced it will stop flying to Ukraine because of the urgent travel alert issued by the Netherlands on Saturday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned Dutch citizens not to travel to Ukraine, and said those who are there, including residents, should leave the country.

A good friend evacuated two weeks ago and after counsel and prayer has decided they are being called to remain stateside and not return to Ukraine. First, you are in our daily prayers. May God protect the people of Ukraine, their land and those of you who are serving in that great nation! It is our prayer that Peace would be upon Ukraine and that God would be glorified.

Second, as you prayerfully consider your options during this difficult time, please know that we can make multiple reservations, stretched out over multiple days and hold them for up to two weeks as you make your decisions. We are currently holding multiple reservations for missionaries to give them options. If they continue to feel safe, we let one reservation drop out of the system and make another for a week later, etc.

FOR OUR MISSIONARY FRIENDS IN UKRAINE...

Airlines changed their flight schedule on January 23.
Swiss Airlines, Austrian Airlines and the Dutch KLM have refused night parking in Kyiv amid reports of a possible large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

This is evidenced by the online radar flightradar24.com, reports avianews .
Ukrainian intelligence outlines Putin's likely plan: Russia could attack from several directions

According to the portal, these three airlines changed their flight schedule on January 23.

WHICH FLIGHTS ARE POSTPONED OR CANCELED ALTOGETHER
On January 23, Austrian Airlines scheduled an evening flight OS 667 Vienna-Kyiv . However, instead of a night stop at Boryspil airport, the plane immediately returned to Austria on a special flight OS 1402, although in the morning the airliner was to deliver passengers from Kiev to Vienna on a regular flight OS 668. Instead, the airline canceled the flight.

Also on January 23, Swiss canceled the evening departure of flight LX 2290 from Zurich to Kiev . Instead, the airline sent a plane to Kiev on a special flight LX7390 on the morning of January 24 to pick up passengers and return immediately.
KLM flights number KL 1387 from Amsterdam to Kiev will be canceled from January 22. They envisioned a night parking lot in Ukraine with a morning flight back.

There are currently no official comments from airlines as to why they decided to change their flight schedules.
Note that airlines use a risk assessment system for the safety of passengers. If it indicates the possibility of adverse events in the region, carriers change the flight schedule, flight route or cancel flights altogether.

TURKISH BEGINS FLYING TO DFW...

For our many missionaries who live in Ukraine and travel to Texas, please note that Turkish Airlines has inaugerated service between Istanbul and DFW (Dallas Fort Worth).

Turkish offers great fares and excess baggage for missionaries!

Turkish Airlines began its 11th long-haul service to the U.S. on Sept. 24 as it began flying from Istanbul to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Sept. 24. The airline is offering a four times weekly service to Istanbul on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using its fleet of new Boeing 787

For all who serve alongside the amazing people in Honduras, you will need to take special note. The international airport in Tegucigalpa is closing to international flights. The new modern airport in Comayagua, a bit north of Tegucigalpa, will open on October 15 and all international carriers are expected to have moved their operations by November 15.
