Universal Epic Universe’s Grand Opening is May 22, 2025! 🌎

Explore worlds unlike anything experienced before. Step through amazing portals transporting you to the thrills of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ - Ministry of Magic™, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and Celestial Park. Five immersive worlds. One amazing theme park. Universal Epic Universe opens on May 22, 2025.

Select multi-day tickets will go on sale on October 22, 2024. Bookings for Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel, will also be available starting October 22, 2024.

You’d never know a hurricane just blew through here. Not a leaf out of place. And it’s currently empty on an otherwise busy Fall Break week.

My guests that rode out the storm at Disney and others arriving this weekend have a great forecast ahead in the coming days.

Walt Disney World Theme Parks - Hurricane Milton

On Wednesday, October 9, WDW theme parks and Disney Springs will be closed in phases beginning at 1:00 PM.

🎥 Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park will close at 1:00 PM.

🏰 Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs will close at 2:00 PM.

It is likely the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, October 10. Disney will consider opening Disney Springs on Thursday in the late afternoon, with limited offerings.

🎃 This includes the cancellation of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on Thursday, October 10. Event tickets will be refunded.

Disney Resort Hotel Closures

⛺ Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa will temporarily close beginning at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9. They are likely to remain closed until Sunday, October 13.

Transportation

🚌 Walt Disney World Transportation will stop operating on Wednesday, October 9 after Disney Springs and the Walt Disney World theme parks close.

🚕 Limited Minnie Van and Mears taxi service will be available to Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

Recreation

💦 Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, October 9. Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park remains closed for planned refurbishment.

⚽ There are no events planned for ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex until the weekend.

Reservations for Dining and Other Experiences

🍽 Effective immediately - WDW will not enforce cancellation policies until further notice for dining and other experiences.

Prepaid experiences will be automatically refunded within 7 to 10 business days.

This reimagined attraction is scheduled to open in Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World Resort TOMORROW, June 28, 2024!

Beginning July 24, Walt Disney World guests can plan in advance with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass! This will replace the current Genie+ system.

▪️Make Lightning Lane plans before you arrive for added convenience.

▪️Choose your experiences and times prior to purchasing to better plan your day in advance.

▪️Disney Resort guests will be able to make advance selections seven days prior to arrival for their length of stay.

I am very excited about these upcoming changes. This update will improve the overall guest experience, as well as give more benefits to Disney Resort guests.

One of my favorite places to use Disney Dining Plan snack credits is at the various Epcot festivals throughout the year.

This is an great way to maximize your dining plan, while also enjoying the delicious food offerings around the park.

The Grilled Warm Water Lobster Tail at Florida Fresh was delicious and prices at $11.25, making it an excellent value for a snack - included with your Disney Dining Plan!
