Did you guys hear about the hydrothermic explosion at Biscuit Basin in
Apparently, this happened due to a sudden drop in pressure which then lead to rapid expansion of the high-temperature fluids/vapors and then caused a crater-forming eruption
Could you imagine witnessing this up close?! Nature is an impressive beast, that’s for sure!!

Happy Anniversary to us 🥂

2 years ago today we took our first step into this vacation rental world and Island Park

We’ve had a lot of fun, a lot of frustration, a lot of learning, and most of all, a lot of pride and excitement 🤩

These guests decided to appreciate their family time and go with the flow even though Yellowstone National Park was closed…

They were so glad they still came! They found plenty to do and see and had a great time despite having to make some changes in their plans!

We are very thankful they wanted to visit anyway and see some lesser known things 🙌🏼

Yellowstone reopening day!!
I watched the traffic reports all day and it looked as if it was over crowded all morning, but this second picture was at 1:30pm and the lines were gone! Most people reported not having a very long wait for most everything they were doing.

I’d say that looks like a successful first day open again to me!!!

We are glad the park is back open and on its way to normal again 💚

Yellowstone Update!!!
🚨 6/20/2022 🚨

Yellowstone National Park will begin allowing visitors at 8am 6/22/22 😎

All entrances *except* the North Gate will be open on Wednesday!
Yellowstone will be implementing an alternating admissions entry system to slow the traffic on these beginning opening days, likely following this for the next 3-4 weeks. If you have questions on how this works, I’m happy to explain!

Wait… There’s more!!!
just announced that they anticipate the North loop to open up in the next TWO WEEKS!!! This is incredible news considering the damage the roads in Gardiner and Cooke City sustained due to and ! I’m in complete awe of these NPS employees busting their butts to get the park open for this year’s 150 year celebration!!! They expect visitors to be able to enjoy at least 80% of the entire 3500 square mile park area.

This is such amazing news on their progress and I couldn’t be more excited for this season of park visitors 💚

Just an update… Yellowstone National Park is reporting substantial impacts on the North end, but they anticipate the South loop to have much less damage. Looking at coverage, it doesn’t seem as ALL of Yellowstone is affected, mostly some key areas near the North Gate. ❤️
