The fall migration is underway! 🐦🦆 🦢

If you like following the Fall Color Finder map, you’re going to love the BirdCast migration map powered by the Cornell Lab, Colorado State University and U Mass Amherst. BirdCast forecasts nightly migration numbers and it’s an amazing way to find out how many (and even which species) birds are soaring by on their way to warmer horizons.

Last week, migration soared on Friday night as roughly 87,000,000 birds took flight across Minnesota on their journey south. The birds averaged 27 mph, an altitude of 2,000ft, and a SSE heading.

What our guests are saying: This is a great cabin, and amazing location. The nice sandy beach is super close, and there is a small dock right behind the cabin for your boat or just to fish from. The cabin was perfect, and everything was clearly labeled. Tara and David are amazing host and extremely responsive. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, definitely would love to come back.

A couple of notes about the Softball and Pickleball Tournaments at the High School...
🌭 There will be a food truck (Benny's Hot Dogs) posted at the High School Fields on Saturday and Sunday!
🍧 Sweet Clouds and Cones will also be setup at the tournaments!!
🛝 The tournament beer trailer is being hosted by Isle School staff this year to help raise funds for a new, inclusive playground!!

Fireworks will be held in Garrison, Wahkon, and the Mille Lacs County Fairgrounds at Dusk on July 4th! Many other resort and private fireworks displays will be going on around the lake all weekend long.

This weekend will be a busy one, so please be patient, careful, and kind. Have a safe and fun holiday weekend!
