⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐💃 Girls Day Out!
We had the pleasure of treating six magnificent gals to a very special fall tour last month. These gals were all college roommates & friends in Ohio, and met up in Jackson Hole to spend some quality girl time. Speaking of quality, they choose one of our elevated lunch experiences including charcuterie, artisan deli sandwiches, salad and hot pumpkin spice soup. The weather was brisk, so we set up a birch barrel fire at our Colter Bay location with incredible lake-side views. We hope to see them return to the valley soon!

This week signals the end of our fall season. If you’re in the region and looking for one more visit to either Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Parks - give us a call. This is a great time of year to spot bear before they retreat to their dens, and of course, elk, before they start migrating south to the National Elk Refuge.

We visited Grand Teton and Yellowstone. Ana with Great Western was our guide - she was incredible. Her vehicle was clean and well-stocked with snacks, drinks, etc. She had 3D maps and other visuals to explain how everything was formed. She was knowledgeable about both areas and pleasant and patient with our questions. It was one of our favorite trips of all that we’ve done. I would recommend using Great Western and ask for Ana.”

We know it’s September when our evenings include the unforgettable sound of bugling elk! Our Sunset Dinner Safari is the perfect experience if you want to capture this unique musical sound as bull elk attempt to attract females and warn potential challengers that they intend to be the sole breeder of the nearby herd. Sunset is also a great time to witness the ritual. For locals, the sound of the rut isn’t just a reminder that fall has arrived - but a reminder that winter is coming.

Great Western Expeditions was so helpful from the planning process of my group trip to the details for the day trips. We visited Jackson with 31 people and they helped me plan our national park excursions and provided transportation for our group around town. They are knowledgeable, reliable, and overall wonderful people to work with, and spend your day with.
