With the spring equinox behind us, the days are gradually getting longer - something we always look forward to this far north. Another sure sign of spring is the spotting of grizzly bears coming out of hibernation. Male grizzlies typically come out of hibernation in early March, while the females and cubs follow in April and May. We have been spotting plenty of wildlife, including sheep, moose and bison, and the National Elk Refuge is great to enjoy in the comfort of our warm vans, or on a horse-drawn sleigh ride.

We thought we’d share a little reel from a recent three-day expedition in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. This family of four from Dallas, along with Vinnie, their guide, had the privilege of watching the Junction Butte wolf pack in the Lamar Valley, along with these moose & calves, black bears, bison and more!
