A few more days and it will be TOOL SALE TIME! One of the first things Mark wanted me to do after he passed was to sell his SHOP 2 tools and building. SO it’s been a busy and emotional few months sorting thru everything. Could not of done it without the help of Jason,Sondra and Grandkids. 2 things Mark loved besides his family were TOOLS and VEHICLES!! Some items we found made us laugh and wonder where he got it and WHY! If Mark could be here I am sure he would tell you the story behind every tool whether you wanted to hear it or not. MARK, we love and miss you so much but we know your Spirit will be with us at the sale checking everyone and everything out.

Our shop building at 309 3rd St. is not a drop off for garbage. It was bad enough when people were trying to use our dumpster for their personal garbage. Now it’s furniture! If you know the owner of the couch please contact me.

There is so much I can say about the Man I love and married over 42 years ago. Of course he would say we had 42 years of wedded bliss, but not enough(he might of been a little forgetful)!Mark always told me he fell in love the moment he met me. Even though we lost touch with each other over the years he stilled carried a photo of me in his billfold for years until finally reuniting and marrying in 1980. He was a wonderful,caring and compassionate man,who gave his family 100%of his love. Mark was not the type to travel or buy me jewelry, instead he showered me with Home additions. Multiple Additions! He encourage me in anything and everything I dreamed to do. My dreams were his dreams,he wanted to help make them come true and he succeeded. Jason,Ryan and the grandkids were a dream come true for him. He worried he would not be a great father/grandfather. He had nothing to worry about, he was the BEST DAD and GRANDPA a child could have. Nothing he would not to for them memories full of fun and laughter! For some reason I made his life complete and he did the same for me. He put me on a pedestal and kept me there. In his eyes I was beautiful and I could do no wrong.I was so lucky to have his love! Everyday I heard those magic words I Love you! Marcus I will Miss You and Love You Forever. Love you Honey!

To our Homespun community, it is with the heaviest of hearts that our beloved Mark has passed away. He fought a good hard fight with cancer.

Mark was the man behind the furniture. The builder. The creator. The mover. The cleaner :) He gave 100% to every single piece he built with 1- 1/2 arms. He was the smiling face if you ever walked through our doors. He was the greeter and the great story teller. He was our rock. And he will be greatly missed. Please see our other post for the celebration of this amazing man's life.

And send many prayers to his beautiful bride, Barb through this extremely hard time.

Thank you all for your continued support over the years. The show had always been the highlight of his year!

3 Happy Bow Hunters headed out this morning! A few weeks ago Mark did not think he would be able to hunt this year but surprised us all and is feeling pretty good! Did not want to miss opening day of deer season!

Sorry to disappoint our loyal Customers and Friends!! We will not have our Annual Sale in 2021! Some of you might already know Mark was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May. kidney was removed and has started immunotherapy treatment and he is completely wiped out from it. Typical Mark,he is worried about how his family and friends are handling his diagnoses! Will try to keep you posted on his cancer journey and please keep him in your prayers.

This Sweet woman passed away July 1. My Mom was 87. Mom looked forward to our sale every year. She loved visiting with customers and helping out wherever she could. She was very Talented and Crafty! I am sure there are quite a few customers who bought one or a few of her appliqué Towels,Runners,stockings etc. There came a time when she could not keep up with the demand for items SO she recruited Dad to be her partner. She patiently taught him to Stitch the Perfect Stitch! Heaven forbid if they were not, he had to rip the stitches out and start over! He would do it with a smile on his face and a few cuss words too! Quite often when I popped in to visit,the 2 of them were in their recliners stitching away! Perfect pair! It was a sad day for all of us when they could not do the stitching they loved to do!LOVE YOU MOM!
