Bear Root Bitters Bear Root Bitters is a collaboration between wildcraft organic ingredients, selective recipes, and a passion for enhancing the experience of a cocktail.

Sustainability is the forefront of our company, accomplished by selective harvest methods that leave the landscape intact. Our goal is to provide products that are fresh, elegant, and environmentally affable. We gather many of our ingredients from the earth in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and assort them into well-balanced bitters that leave your palate pleasantly bewildered. Bitters have existed for centuries throughout the world and it is our thrill to revive this ancient art in an innovative craft.

The Homesick Vermonter

2oz Whiskey
4oz Apple Cider
1 bar spoon Maple Syrup75oz Lemon Juice
3 Dashes Bear Root Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters

Garnish with apple slices, cinnamon stick, star anise and rimmed with cinnamon sugar.

***If extremely homesick***
Drizzle maple syrup in the glass before adding ice and straining.

Some say “the best espresso martini you’ve ever had,” others say “you just made that up, it’s different every time.”

I always reply, “Theory is sometimes different than reality. Drink your Espresso Martino so we can go disco dance spooky to some techno goth.”

Espresso Coco Martino

2oz vodka
1oz Coffee Liqueur
1oz Espresso
1/2 oz Crème de Cacao (sub simple syrup)
3 Dashes of Bear Root Cacao Coffee Bitters

(Optional splash of half and half or oat milk)

Shaken and strained in martini glass
Garnish with coffee beans and dusted with Cacao powder

Apples and pumpkins and warming spices for the spooky season and changing colors. The margarita that’s less for a lazy beach day and more for the crunching of leaves on a midnight walk through a graveyard. Enjoy the harvest.

2oz Mezcal
3oz Apple Cider
1oz Blood Orange Juice
1/2oz Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
3 Dashed Bear Root Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters
Black Lava Salt (charcoal salt)

Rim glass with Black Lava Salt
Add Mezcal, Apple Cider, Blood Orange Juice, Lime Juice and Pumpkin Pie Spice to a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake well and strain into rimmed cocktail glass.
