As we look forward to Blood Bash 2025, we are taking a look back at some of the great photos taken at previous Blood Bash events!

Who remembers the classic film "Bed & Breakfast" from Blood Bash 2020? This film was a real feast for people who love food - because there were cantaloupes a-plenty, and there was an abundance of cheese in this film from the now, sadly defunct, Dead Lantern Pictures!! We loved this film, even it only made it to the semi-finals. It certainly had it's positive assets, that's for sure.

Annually, over 1500 independent short films from all over the globe are entered into the Blood Bash Film Festival, and we widdle it down to between 42-50 films for your viewing pleasure at the show. There are always 20 Finalists, though, that compete for the coveted "Best In Show" award, along with "Favorite Female" and "Favorite Male" performance awards!

What movie will stick out this year??? You'll have to come see for yourself!!!

The first official vendor to be named as part of Blood Bash 2025‘s Vendor Lineup is none other than…Jon Dexter Comics! Jon joined us last year for Blood Bash 2024 and his booth was a hit! Jon Dexter is the creator of the comic books Alpha Dogs, Dime-Store Detective and Space Cruizin’! He is also a two-time semi-finalist of the Academy Awards sponsored screenwriting contest for his script, The Weeping Trees. Jon is a local resident of the Jackson area, as well!

Here's a look back to Blood Bash 2022, and the film "Little One," that was a finalist playing on Saturday of that show. After a traumatic miscarriage, a couple run into a strange child in the middle of a road to nowhere.

"Little One" scored a total of 34.15 points for Blood Bash, putting it in 16th place for 2022, and making it the 68th highest scoring film in our history as of Blood Bash 2024. The competition was tough that year though, and all 20 of the finalists scored higher than most years!

Were you able to catch "Little One" at the show? Whether you said yes or no, the good news is that you can see ALL of the movies at Blood Bash 2025, but you have to buy tickets to the show first......and you're in luck, because.....

One of the many extra events to do at Blood Bash 2025 will be a rousing game of "Untitled : Horror Edition."

This game basically shows you a movie poster (from a horror movie, obviously) but the title and all identifying text has been removed. People will answer as quickly as possible to try and get the right answer and the faster the answer is the more points you score.

Our participation sucked this week, as only 13 people wanted to try and win a free copy of "Finding Dory," so what did we do? We doubled up the entries and gave away TWO movies to our faithful participants - one copy of "Find It Dory" and one of "How To Train Your Dragon 2". Watch to see if you've won something!

MeggaXP (Michigan’s Entertainment, Gaming, Geek and Arts Experience) is a company committed to spreading geek culture to the Jackson community! You will see us pop up at various events throughout the year here in Jackson, but our main venture is a once a year pop culture, art, and entertainment convention.
