Are you ready to travel international and don’t know where to start ?? I GOT YOU ✈️

First thing first. Let’s Get A Passport ‼️‼️‼️

You’re going to make an appointment at your local post office

For your appointment you will need a DS-11 form, your drivers license , your original birth certificate and 2x2 passport photo

USPS have photo services available at SOME locations be sure to verify this before going. You can get your photo taken at your appointment for an additional $15 fee or you can take your own passport photo, print them out and bring them with your application form.

The form you’ll need is a DS-11 filled out in BLACK ink only!https://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds11.pdf

Bring your STATE ID OR DRIVERS LICENSE NOT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. Also bring your original birth certificate (It can’t be laminated, torn, taped together, or stained.)

If you are applying for a minor (15 and younger). Mom and Dad must be present IF both of you are on the birth certificate or you must have a notarized statement of consent from the absent parenthttps://eforms.state.gov/Forms/ds3053.pdf .

If there is a special circumstance such as a parent in jail , deceased, or not present in child’s life there are other steps that can be taken to obtain your child’s passport.

16 and older only one parent needs to be present to obtain the passport

Adult (16+) passports are valid for 10 years
Children passports are valid for 5 years

Processing time :
Routine passports take 6 to 8 weeks
Expedited passports take 2 to 3 weeks
If you have international travel within 14 days you are able to get a same day passport expedited at your states’s agency (appointment required)
