A newer rendition on and old tradition. The original Palms Fish Camp started back in 1950 and operated for many years ultimately closing and reopening with a brand new waterfront building and new ownership in 2017. Since then Palms has been serving nothing but off-the-dock fresh seafood. The owners have a passion for fresh seafood and often times the seafood you're eating arrived by boat just the day before. They also have a brick pizza oven and serve up the best pizza on the islands.. This is your stop for great views of the creek and fresh fish entrees like Snapper, Trigger and Wahoo. Palms also has live music a few nights each week.

#4 Sandollar Restaurant & Marina
On the river, by the sea. Originally opened as a fish camp in 1942, Sandollar Restaurant has been a Heckscher drive staple since the toll booths and old wooden bridges. Of course the building has been rebuilt multiple times since then. Sandollar boasts the largest deck on the St.Johns River and regularly has live music playing. The river view is pretty much unbeatable. As you look out over the St.Johns and you'll see ships, boats, jetskis, lots of dolphins and even the shrimp boats that brought in your shrimp. Sandollars menu is diverse and they also have many non-seafood specialties like their famous prime rib and pastas. This is your stop for that perfect breezy summertime waterfront view and great seafood entrees.
