How couldn’t I when these are views? Being from the east coast, I am MESMERIZED by the red rock, the gorgeous slot canyons, the beautiful lake, and all of the unique wildlife.

Napping under the arches.. 😴

Why does that sound like a fire ass country song? If you guys have never visited Arches National Park 🏞️ it is such a family friendly “hike” and easily has some of the best views in all of Utah.

This was after several days of hiking in the heat so I took a cat-nap on a rock before we had to drive 2 hours back to camp. (see old posts. I booked us in the boonies by accident hehe) 🏕️

Arches Highlights:
-Delicate Arch
-Double Arch
-Park Ave Viewpoint
-Landscape Arch

FYI:
-Arches is a TIMED ENTRY park. You can’t just show up and go in. We learned this the hard way.
-$35 a car 🚗

I agree with the sentiment behind this statement. Traveling can often provide a sense of discovery and personal growth, but returning home can also be a valuable part of the journey.

Let me explain…Sometimes when we return home from traveling, we can feel lost or unsettled, as if we’re still searching for something. This is a common experience, as the openness and excitement of travel can make the familiarity of home feel unfamiliar~

However, I believe the quote is suggesting that the act of returning home can actually help us rediscover or “find” ourselves again. When we travel, we are exposed to new perspectives, experiences, and ways of being. This can expand our horizons and challenge our preconceptions. But when we come back home, we have the opportunity to integrate those new insights and understandings into our sense of self.

The “come down” you experience is a natural part of this process. Our minds and emotions are processing all the new information and sensations from the journey. It can feel disorienting at first, but ultimately, this integration can lead to a deeper self-awareness and sense of identity.

So in essence, the quote suggests that travel allows us to grow and evolve, but returning home provides the chance to ground that growth and rediscover who we are at our core. The search and the finding are both essential parts of the journey of self-discovery.
