Hello my friends. I wanted to share what I have experienced with a trip that is turning ugly. I purchased two tickets to the Breeders Cup Official Experience, in November 2018.. The contract states that the tickets are non refundable. Well, as of today, Walt has been diagnosed with throat cancer and we will not be able to attend. This situation could have been avoided if I purchased TRAVEL INSURANCE. Now I am fighting to at least get the hotel cancelled and sell my tickets at a loss. So here is a live example to say buy Travel Insurance.

So if you watched MDL on Bravo tonight, you show that one of the stars needed to go to Shanghai. He asked his assistant to book his trip and asked how he was going to do it. The assistant said, "using Hotels.com". I fell off my chair. Now do you really think that using a search engine is the way to go. Good luck if you have any problems. Remember computers are for looking but travel experts are for booking and you get the same expert 24/7. Not the next person on line.

TRAVEL Insurance. So you are going on that trip you dream of for a while. You say to yourself, Ill just book it online. BIG mistake. Permit to give you actual examples of people that did so:
1- You are in Europe and brought your tickets from an online search engine. On vacation, you find out your father died. You need to go home ASAP. You call your online booking engine, they replied that bereavement is not covered. Now, what do you do?
2- Now you are on cruise and your son falls ill. He has to be transported to a Mexican hospital. Your hospital bill is
$48,000. You think no problem. Called the cruise ship line and find out that your stay at the Mexican Hospital is not covered.
What you should have down is called your travel expert make sure any or all scenario are covered. Also check to see if the policy is an INDEMNIFY base policy. That means, you pay first and then the insurance company pays you back.
So what is the moral of this story, use a TRAVEL SPECIALIST when you travel.
Remember the computer is for looking and a TRAVEL SPECIALIST such as Travel By Walt and Gail is for booking.
