This month's employee spotlight is on Josh Maxwell! Josh is one of our engineers and is excited to work with you.
Hometown: Naples, FL.
Hobbies: Fishing, hunting, backpacking, Cub Scouts with my son, basketball with my kids.
Favorite Marina Project: It's difficult to pick a favorite project. Pelican Isle Yacht Club (PIYC) in Naples, Florida. Their marina was destroyed by Hurricane Ian, requiring the replacement of their docks, utilities, and seawall. To enhance resiliency to mitigate damage from future storms, we installed longer steel pipe piles, and mounted equipment on floating docks to prevent submersion. For fixed docks, we elevated substations and distribution panels as high as possible without having to build stairs. Since completion, the marina has weathered surges from two additional hurricanes, with no damage to the docks. Bellingham helped coordinate marine and upland contractors to expedite completion while setting a new standard for coastal project resilience.
