Ladies and gentlemen, put on your seatbelts! The Bootstrap Bumper Sticker has arrived.
Finally, you can show off your love for food waste diversion and black gold WHILE supporting Bootstrap’s reduced-fee service supporting the needs and opportunities in environmental justice communities (EJC).
At $25, it’s also probably the World’s Most Expensive Bumper Sticker; however, each unit will serve to subsidize weekly pickups of organics for an entire month (about 75 pounds of material) for households in EJC communities like Everett, Mass.
It’s the little bumper sticker that could! To make your ride look smart while actively mitigating the emission of CO2 consider this banner for your bumper! To learn more, email [email protected].

Can you help Bootstrap Compost "go electric?"
With little fuss or fanfare (until now!), Bootstrap is THRILLED to announce that we are actively evolving into a zero-emissions company. It's happening in baby steps — but in real steps with REAL IMPACT nonetheless.
This past spring, we quietly replaced two of our conventional gas-powered vans with a pair of electric Ford vans. We love them for their functionality, limited maintenance and savings at the pump. Most importantly, they increase the impact of our work. With conventional vans, we emit .9 pounds of CO2 per mile; with our EVS, we emit zero. And that is a fact and future we aim to embrace. (Currently, a full 15 percent of our current pick ups in Greater Boston are conducted via EV!!!)
Now, toward swapping out half our fleet with EVs by the year 2025, Team Bootstrap has launched its first infrastructure fundraiser in company history. And whether we reach our goal of $140,000, we can’t wait to serve your household, office, place of worship, event or restaurant via EV as soon as possible.

Could spring be the most sensory of the seasons? Between the mellow rays and the melodious birds we're going with yes. A big fat heck yes. And hallelujah it's here.
The most rewarding part of this time of year, meanwhile, might be the wares and products from the hard working community farmers and their animals.
Thank you @crookedmoonfarm for the eggs and moment of Zen.

Welcome 2022 with Bootstrap’s #scrappynewyear
What’s better than a year’s commitment to less waste? An easy one! Now through Feb. 1, Bootstrap is offering a one-year subscription of its “white glove” service at 20% off!
Rain, sleet, or snow — we’re on the go!
When the snow comes down hard, we work harder. Watch the snow come down early at our Malden warehouse and how we prep our vehicles to get back on some slippery streets.
Fun fact: Our man Aaron (Bootstrap's resident soil expert and development coordinator) is the fourth strongest person in Massachusetts. And it's little wonder why. Turning a sizable pile, after all, is not easy work; it is, however, absolutely essential.
Regular maintenance of your compost pile (no more than every 14 days) will ensure that all feedstocks (i.e., the organics) receive proper levels of oxygen, while dispersing the heat by-product. Doing so will make for healthy compost — free of pathogens and weed seeds — and a healthy you!
H2whoa!
Team Boot in the Berkshires uses water from a basement dehumidifier to clean our lids and buckets. You bring the trash - We make a splash!💦
