Our tree-cutting team leader reports that the Shenango River is now cleared from Pymatuning State Park to Riverside Park in Greenville. The obstruction noted in the earlier post about two miles downstream of Halfway Road is still there (go river right to get around it).

Remember, this is a wild and somewhat challenging river, and while there aren't big rapids, there are a lot of twists and turns where the current can move you in unexpected ways. Wear your life jacket, float with a buddy, be prepared to get swamped, and let someone know your float plan.

If you find a downed tree or other obstruction, please report it to us here by Messenger, and we'll relay the information to our tree cutters. Mile markers and other descriptive information are really helpful.

We will be open 10am-6pm (Ticket gate closes at 5pm)!

Feed and touch many animals in the park! 🚂 Go for a train ride in the woods! 🐎Take a pony ride (under 80 lbs) on a scenic trail! ⛏️Visit the mining sluice in the western town to see what gems you can find! 🛍️Finally, stop in the gift shop to take home some goodies!

Our prices are $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 2-12. Under 2 is free!

While wishing for warmer weather, we explored the disc golf course in the park since hole 3 is right across from Maple Grove Parkview!
