Every 3 years the tri-dam project lowers the lake levels in the winter for maintenance. I’m happy to report that the lake levels are back up so we can access our ramp and dock again. It’s a perfect time to plan a spring fishing trip!

We love enjoying walks around the lake this time of year with no one around. It’s so peaceful and beautiful. It’s a nice 2-mile walk round trip from our house, on the fire road by the lake, all the way to Crappy Cove and back. We just lowered our Winter rates to nearly 50% off our summer rates. Reach out if you’d like to plan a winter escape.

The rainbow trout have been biting, Dodge Ridge is now open for playing in the snow, Black Oak Casino has a fun family floor with lots of activities, and Oakdale has a great skate park. There’s also wine tasting and cider tasting in Jamestown and Sonora. So many things to explore close by! Or stay at the house and enjoy the views while playing board games, watching movies, and bonding with loved ones in a different environment.

Winter reflections! I love the peacefulness of the lake this time of year with no one around. It’s fun to explore the shoreline with the kids and be in nature, admiring the reflections on the water. Every 3 years the tri-dam lowers the water levels in the winter for maintenance, which makes it extra fun to look for treasures on the shoreline. We haven’t found the pot of gold yet! The launch ramp is still open for fishing boats, but our dock is off limits until they raise the water back up in the spring. By the way, every weekend is booked this summer except Memorial Day, Labor Day, and a couple of weekends in August. Get cozy by the fire and watch the rain fall into the lake! It’s a great place to watch movies, play card games or bumper pool and connect with loved ones. Once you settle into watching the mesmerizing views of the lake, it’s hard to leave, but if you’re craving adventure there’s lots to do nearby. We are a close drive to play in the snow, explore the old mining town of Columbia, check out caves, go wine tasting or cider tasting, or spend a day in Yosemite.

Another beautiful weekend at the lake. The views are amazing all year long. Even though the lake levels have been lowered for the winter, people are still launching fishing boats, kayaking, and paddle boarding. It’s nice to enjoy a peaceful escape without the crowds to unwind and relax. Lake walks, eating good food, watching movies by the fire, and connecting with loved ones is the best. Enjoy the beautiful views year round at the Tulloch Lake House! The lake levels are lowered this winter for maintenance reasons so the dock is off limits, but the lake house is still amazing to enjoy all year long. Enjoy quality time with friends and family at the lake eating, drinking, playing card games, watching movies or exploring the area. It’s peaceful this time of year to go for a walk by the lake, go fishing, drive to Jamestown to wine taste, Sonora to cider taste, explore the old mining town of Columbia, play in the snow at Dodge Ridge, or check out the waterfalls in Yosemite.
