CapN Ron Fishing and I went down to Falcon lake for a day to go scout around for some up and coming trips later this month and we had an absolute BLAST!! Great fishing, great Mexican food, and just great times down south!! This trip is an absolute blast to come experience!!

Falcon in August is one of the funnest times of the year to fish! You have a great chance to blast some giants on one of the funnest techniques in bass fishing! DEEP CRANKING! Anyone who has caught them deep cranking knows exactly what I’m talking about and anyone who has never caught them deep cranking has no idea what they are missing out on!!

‼️PB ALERT‼️Great afternoon trip from a couple of days ago with Mr. Dustin and his son Mr. Kenneth! These guys grinded it out in the hottest part of the day and it paid off! Kenneth ended up catching his first bass ever with a 3.5 pounder and eventually worked his way up to a PB of almost 6 pounds!! Hard to beat catching bigguns on topwater!! Thank y’all for fishing with me!

🛑🛑 ATTENTION ALL HIGHSCHOOL ANGLERS AND BOAT CAPTAINS 🛑🛑

The 2024-2025 Highschool Fishing tournament season is fast approaching here in Central Texas! Here is a few schedules/dates that have been released from the trails that I know of around here! I want to encourage you/y’all to use me as a helpful tool! I have been a highschool boat captain for the last 3 years with 2 young men from the Jarrell Fishing Team! We have several great tournament finishes in the past! Several top 3 finishes! Unfortunately these guys havs graduated and I no longer have a team to captain. But this allows me to spread my knowledge of these lakes you all will be fishing this year!!

Maybe you are unfamiliar with 1 or more lakes on these schedules and you want to become more familiar with them. LET ME HELP YOU! Maybe you want to become more familiar with how to be more efficient on breaking a lake down. LET ME HELP YOU! Maybe you are new to the tournament scene in general. LET ME HELP YOU! Maybe y’all are just wanting to learn to become more fundamentally sound anglers. LET ME HELP YOU! Whatever it may be LET ME HELP YOU become a better angler and/or a better boat captain!!

Have a kid that wants to reach the next level in fishing after highschool bring them to me and let me get them pointed in the right direction!!

Well that’s a wrap for OUTDOOR TEXAS CAMPS KIDS CAMP 2024 on Lake Bastrop! We got to fish with a total of 48 kids over the last 2 weeks chasing schooling fish on Lake Bastrop! We had a an absolute blast and caught a bunch of fish every day out there. This was my 3rd year working the camp and it’s so cool meeting all the new kids every year but the coolest part is seeing these kids grow up and advance in their fishing skills year after year. Huge shout to Barefootfishingtours for allowing me to help in this kids camp every year. Always fun getting to fish with some of the best guides in central Texas! Want to give a huge shout to Will over at Fish Tackle & Marine!! A few weeks ago my lithium battery charger went out on me and I didn’t have much time in between trips so I gave Will a call and told him what was going on and he said he could get me taken care of! I drove down there and exchanged the charger and had the boat back up and going in the same day! These guys are top notch and have a very cool and high quality tackle & marine shop!

Great afternoon trip on Lake Stillhouse with Mr. Tobin and his brother Mr. Vince! The lake is still dropping and these fish are on the move but we managed to scrap up some good quality fish to get us a 20-21 pound bag in a few hours! Just missed that 7+ pound bite yesterday! Lake Stillhouse is fishing probably the best I have ever seen it right now! Don’t miss out on it!! 🟢512-820-0979🟢

Had an absolute smashfest this afternoon with Mr. Mark! Best 5 went just above 32lbs! With Mark having our 2 best fish coming in at 7lbs 4oz & 6lbs 8oz!! Definitely a tricky deal out here right now with no grass but once you find them you can get right quick!

Mark had only been to Stillhouse once before today and wanted to become more familiar with the lake and learn a few different ways to fish out here!! Needless to say I bet he comes back to Stillhouse again!

Hit the jackpot today at Stillhouse with TRIPLE 7 pounders!! 🎰 to get us to a dirty 30 bag!! The homies Ben and Beau stay mad at these fish!! 😤😤 Ben also broke his PB with a 7lb 7oz unit!!

With little to no grass left in lake it is fishing quite different. It took awhile to figure out a bite and find these fish but once we did it was game on!!

I will be working a kids camp the next two weeks on lake Bastrop but I am available for afternoon trips on LAKE STILLHOUSE the next two weeks! I’ll be back to normal schedule starting July 20th! Not sure how long this bite will last so don’t miss out on it while it’s hot!!

What an absolutey incredible blessed day we had today!! Mr. Anthony & Mr. Noah put on a TOPWATER clinic today!! 🔥Our best 5 went just over 31 pounds!!🔥 Had a chance at 33-35 but ole girl didn’t want her picture taken! The summer time topwater bite here in central Texas is something everyone needs to experience!! It’s unbelievable!!

This year’s spawn was the best big bass smash fest of my life. I have never caught so many big fish in a single season. This spring was one I will never forget. Absolute topwater slugfest here in central Texas today with the homie Garrett!! Our best 5 went around 24ish pounds! Had an opportunity to get up to that 27-28 pounds. Jumped off an 8ish pounder 🙄 but that’s fishing!! 6th Sense Fishing Magnum Catwalk doing most of the work today!! That bait is a straight killer and the blowups are super violent! 😤😤 You just can’t beat it!

My buddy Ben with his P.B. from a few weeks ago!! This kid is a 🔨🔨🔨

This place is Beautiful! Been alot of fun just running up and down the river the past few days! Fishing has been pretty tough for us the last 2.5 days of pre fishing! The river is 5+ feet low so alot of the backwaters aren’t fishable or do not have more than a foot of water on them. Getting bit hasn’t been to much of a problem but catching a keeper has definitely been a chore for us! We have caught 5 keeper fish since we starting pre fishing. Towards the end of the day we may have stumbled onto a little something. Caught 4 keepers today and jumped off one that was pushing 4-4.5 pounds. We are just gonna keep our heads down and grind away at them out here and see how the cards fall! Tournament starts tomorrow!
