Our story of The Barn

The Barn was built in 1982. It was never finished when it first sold. Once finished, it was purchased back by the original owner. The Barn has had about 6 owners since we purchased it in 2014.

It had always been a rental, and not treated with much TLC.

We had been searching for a lakefront property in Eastern Tennessee for 5 years before we finally landed on the Barn. We’d rented there a few a times, but swore to each other, we’d never buy it because it needed so much work. The walk to the beach was much too steep, several plumbing and electrical problems, poorly insulated, rotting siding, Rooms were dark and dingy, Windows would rattle in the wind, railings were not safe and much, much more.

As we continued our search – we couldn’t find any other place with views as beautiful as The Barns’.

We realized, everything we didn’t like about the Barn, could be fixed over time

Other homes we looked at were more appealing, but just did not have the View.

You can change the Home- But you can never change the view.

So we purchased The Barn and the projects began. Windows, sliders, hardwood floors, Fireplace, Plumbing, electrical, Decks, Dock, Driveway, Firepit, Bathrooms, Kitchen to name a few. The biggest and the best improvement of them all was the retaining Wall & Walkway to the Lake.

Projects continue at the Barn so we can share our Slice of Heaven with our family and guests. We’d love to share it with you and your family.

There is so much to do while visiting. Bring your boat or rent one and enjoy some time out on the lake. Or just swim and fish off our Dock. We are close to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Caitlin’s Cove, Rocky Top, Tail of the Dragon, VOL games, Carson Newman and Downtown Knoxville.

Make sure to take some time to Just sit and breath in the gorgeous views and wildlife. Eagles, Osprey, Turkey Vultures, Cranes, wood peckers, birds of all species. Deer, Fox and maybe even a family of Racoon!
