A tradition began in 1979 when the Clark-Floyd Counties Convention and Tourism Bureau started flying the Sunny Side of Louisville Balloon. Many years later, the Sunny Side balloon is a well known local icon and continues to be a crowd favorite. The Sunny Side balloon is piloted by Dan Hoehler. He's been flying balloons for over 30 years. Our crew volunteers countless hours every year to helping the balloon fly. Our balloon is a promotional tool and is not for hire.
