I have been fishing and exploring the coastal waters of South Carolina and Georgia for more than 30 years. Our fragile and evolving ecosystem has never ceased to amaze me and even the days when fishing is slow there is much to observe and enjoy in what nature has to display and teach us. My appreciation and respect for the preservation and conservation of these marine resources has led me to be ac
tively involved with state and regional fisheries management councils and committees for the past decade. My other avocational interests in history and archaeology have focused on the barrier islands of the Georgia coast - therein lies centuries of recorded exploration and settlement and the associated interaction between the maritime forests, coastal ecosystems and the expanding human presence. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to share the excitement of our unique environment with individuals, couples, and families who live far inland but are excited and anxious to experience first hand our unique marine resources. A commitment to education, teaching, and a positive experience for others

FAQ
Q. What should I pack for my time on the water? Bring some sunscreen, perhaps a hat, sunglasses, camera, small cooler, drinks and any snacks you may want to bring. Depending on the time of year you may also want to pack a sweatshirt. The vessel will supply any life jackets you may need. Q. Do I need to bring fishing tackle and bait? What about a fishing license? All your fishing tackle, bait and your license are supplied by the Captain and that cost included in the price of the trip. Of course if you have you own personal pole or rigs you are welcome to bring them along. Can I customize a trip? Visitors are welcome to combine fishing fun with dolphin watching, history cruises or just exploring some of the inshore rivers. Tell us what your priorities are and we can make it happen. What kind of fish will I catch? It will be up to you to let us know what your “target” may be. Depending on the time of year, water temperature and sea conditions, a variety of species frequent our coastal waters. Also, some are caught by stationary bottom fishing while others lend themselves to slow to moderate trolling speeds. Generally the primary catch seasons are as follows:
Tarpon: July, August & Early September
King/Spanish/Mackerel: May, June & Early July
Cobia: May & June
Barracuda: May - September
Amberjack: May - September
Bottom Species: May - October
Q. Can I keep the fish I catch? Absolutely! But keep in mind that federal and state laws regulate the sizes and number of fish you can keep. We would be pleased to clean and package them for you upon return to the dock. What if I have to use the restroom while we are out on the water? The boat features an enclosed small toilet (or head in mariner language) in the cuddy cabin below deck. While not extremely roomy, it does provide the appropriate privacy.
