Still pickin at the pomp’s. Better numbers but still lower than previous years jigging. Lack of quantity made up for in size. All 13” fork up to just under 18”. Lost another 5 at the boat. What’s bizarre is the normal pests and various species haven’t been anywhere near as prevalent as they should be. Bites kind of far apart but mostly the right ones which is nice. Keep praying for more cold air!

Good day out there but lord was it hot. Got 7 mutton’s, 3 keepers and a 4th that was lost at the boat by a piece of s**t porpoise. One sailfish that was a little special and a few kings and bonito fish mixed in. Lot of king bites and no sign of any sharks. Couple spots open through august before the weather completely turns and our ocean season is done for!

Solo fluff chuck sesh on the buggy whip. Props to the two nice lady’s who walked up on me and were nice enough to hold the rod and snap some shots on their phone. No one else in sight and a total rage feed. Blind squirrel gets a nut every now and again. Today it got 3 🤷‍♂️

Check this out, got lucky on a clear day to get some incredible underwater strikes from giant goliaths on full sized bone heads. Just a normal afternoon in the summer for us!

Want to know what its like to take on a Goliath Grouper in shallow water on 100lb stand up gear? Check out this video we had the pleasure of shooting with Jorge Acosta Pesca youtube channel a couple weeks ago. I was skeptical, but he got it done on the very first bait and drop! Great times and an ass whoopin’ he soon wont forget. Pain for pleasure! Goliath season wont last much longer, few dates open through end of August still for Nearshore/ Goliath/ Shark/ Snook/kingfish/ sailfish/ albies and more. Bites still great and ocean is clean baby! Beast up!

Snuck out for a couple hours to fish solo for a change yesterday morning. First bait in got this pretty sail . jumped off a couple small mahi, and a couple other mystery bites before it got a little too bumpy with the storms around for me to want to be out solo and running around the boat like a nutcase. Back at home by 10:15. Lets see what the tropics have in store. Some dates still available through the end of August right now if ya want to get into it! Aquatic Nutrition Chum, Barrett Custom Rods

Great half day today with Leon Prince and his Lady. Little bumpy to start but put together a limit of kings and lost quite a few more. Tons of bonito up to 20lb mark, and Leon got his first sail, on 25lb gear nonetheless. Great action, dinner and a show . Rods bent from as soon as we got out and left them biting due to the encroaching storm.

Good trip yesterday with a nice couple from GA. Had to grind out the bite but it picked up. Got two mahi, couple nice kingfish , ton of cudas. An extremely pi**ed off 300lb plus bullshark on a hand line, and got dump trucked by some goliaths . Back at dock by 11. Good times and bent rods is what its all about. God Bless America ya heathens.

Report for today, bizarre weather, dark and cool at sunrise, and a rare June North East wind. Went to the bait spot where I have been getting them for 3 weeks (even yesterday) and P**F! All gone, just like that. Were able to load up on greenies and decided to head offshore before conditions worsened for a vessel my size. First three baits in the water on one random area of scattered w**d, two bonito and one nice gaffer mahi. We live baited the area for a bit longer with no more results and the wind was beginning to blow the w**d further offshore where i wasn’t willing to go as it kicked up a bit . Made a couple different moves and ended up in 60ft and getting bites right away from bonito and kings and had another pair of sails pop up boat side, pitched to them but no takers. It was then porpoise showed up and started eating our greenies off our lines so unfortunately we had to vacate that area. Bounced around to a few more spots inshore with minimal luck and decided to head out again as it layed a bit. Very quiet for an hour until Brian hooked into a real nice sail. By the time we landed it it kicked up a lot more and opted to head in. A minute or two after running we saw a pair of sails pop right up next to the boat and pitched a google eye at them, it dove, they dove, fish on. But it was a medium sized king. 🤷‍♂️ oh well. Had to work for it today and was trhe slowest day for us this week but still got some quality fish and popped another sail cherry. Good luck out there this weekend, it was even getting crowded today with the reports of mahi and sails

Great day 3 with Tom, BILL, and Brian from the UK. After annihilating quality kings on the light gear, they opted for offshore today. Water was 73 degrees when we cleared inlet, down 8 degrees from Tuesday. We caught bait and went out deep and began bump trolling over a few reefs. First bait in the water yielded Toms first sail, and it was a large one at that. Came in with a follower just out of sight from our eyes but not their go pro. Continued bumping over some wrecks and reefs and got into some small amberjack and bonito, before continuing on. Brian plucked a small Mahi on a double hook up with a bonito but never saw another mahi. Had shots at multiple sails today free jumping and sunning out on the surface, sometimes in pairs but none wanted to play when we pitched to them or tried to sneak into them. Water was up to 79 on way back in. Hopefully it stays high for their last day tomorrow . Lots of action and life out there. And hellfire heat today with the slight offshore breeze. Water is very clean, and bite should remain strong as long as water stays warm and bait sticks around. Should be great fishing oceanside through August!
