If you get to see this it is an amazing expierence

Witnessing dolphins strand feeding is an amazing experience. But, don't get too close! As a rule of thumb, stay at least 15 yards away so these beautiful animals will keep returning to our shores! Strand feeding is an essential learned foraging activity for these mammals, and unwanted interaction forces them to search for new places to feed.

Operating from 7am to 9pm daily, The Nest offers fresh-baked goods prepared on site, specialty coffees, gourmet made-to-order sandwiches, a selection of groceries, including beer and wine, and a wide selection of retail items. On-site dining is also available indoors or on the sprawling, oak-shaded porch.

Exciting news!

As of today, our volunteers of the Kiawah Island Turtle Patrol have located a total of 283 nests here on the beach. That is only 58 nests behind our record back in 2019. It’s also 119 more than we had last year on June 21st. GO KITP!!!

It's mating season, meaning gators are more active this time of year! It's exciting to see these big reptiles in the wild but it's important to remember to always keep 60ft back and never feed the gators.
