We have shiners and night crawlers ordered to come in next week. When we find out what day they will arrive. We will announce the official opening date. The boat ramp activity has also picked up/ remember it’s $5.00 to launch your boat. You can pay in the box at the ramp or PayPal or cashapp. We will have a scan code there soon to make it easy. If you’re interested in staying at any of the rentals in January we have several days open. Message us and we will cut you a deal. We would love to see the days booked. We’ve been working this afternoon on a list to restock supplies for the upcoming fishing season. If you need anything or want us to carry a specific item for you message us. We will add it to our order if we can get it. With us being a very small business we can’t get the price break larger places get like Walmart, Bass Pro….etc. get when it comes to ordering. However, we do our best to keep our prices fair and reasonable to stay open. There is no possible way we could have made it last year without the support of the community shopping with us. We can’t thank y’all enough and we’re looking forward to 2025. Yall just don’t forget about us when you need something this fishing season. We will be posting hours soon. It may be some trial and error in the beginning until we figure out what works best. If you need something before then give Phil or I one a call.

The ICE freezer is now moved over to the bait shop. Ice is $1.00 a bag for 10lbs. You can get ice anytime. The money drop box will be located there too. She’s been having a hard time keeping up lately with loyal customers buying 10 or 20 bags at a time for their deer . She will continue to keep bagging. She’s very grateful for the business. Phil and I thank you for supporting her. We are looking forward to an awesome 2025 fishing year.

Over the past month we’ve been able to stay and enjoy our little cabin for a few days here and there. Sitting on the front porch and watching the ducks has been my absolute favorite. I hope the renters enjoy it as much as we have. Message us to book! (1 BR 1 Bath) It also has a pull out Queen sleeper sofa.

The Bait Shop will be opening back up with regular hours mid January. We are looking forward to serving the community for their fishing needs. I’ll update you with the exact opening date asap! We will have live bait and your basic fishing supplies. If you want us to carry a certain brand or certain items for you just let us know. If you need something before then just call or message us.

We are also offering a special on our little cabin if you book now thru January 2nd….for open dates in January and February. The availabile nights will only be $100 a night. (2 night minimum.) You will pay a $100 non refundable deposit at booking then the remaining balance once you arrive for check in. (We will transfer the deposit for another date if you have to cancel one time.) I’ll post the open dates below that are on special for the week and a few pictures.

Long time no post! However, we’ve been BUSY!!
We are excited to update you guys!! Yall aren’t going to want to miss these announcements.

We just wanted to first let everyone know. We will be closed October 27th - November 4th!We will not be able to take calls for bookings or get anything from the bait shop during this time. If you’re planning on booking. Message us asap or be ready to book when we open back up November 4th. Sorry for the inconvenience!!

Boat ramp will be open!! 🚤(The boat ramp will still be available. Just be prepared to put money in the box.) ✅ We won’t be there to break change…etc.

We have some major changes coming soon.
Starting January 1st, 2025 we will be offering a 3 Bedroom, 2 bathroom. Mobile home rental option.
(It’s the one we have been staying in until our new place was ready.) This will make us have 3 vacation rentals now. We’re just blown away to be able to do this. So if you needed a bigger place to stay. We will have you covered. Need to rent all 3 places for a family reunion or church camp getaway. We will be ready!

Those of you who have asked about camper rental spots…….We’re excited to tell you it’s time.
We’ve been working closely with our contractor and plan to break ground VERY soon. Mine and Phil’s personal goal is to have them available for rent starting January 1st. We decided to only do 6 spots on the water and have a nice bath house available. We’re keeping it simple. If they are completed before then we will make sure to announce it. We’re still working on pricing.

While we’re updating…….Be looking for a bigger and better bait shop to arrive. 😳😜 You’re kidding right??? Nope!!! It’s in the plans.

So as we move forward and expand. We want to tell y’all thank you for supporting us. Most importantly the prayers. I can’t tell you how encouraging it is to us to have people stop and pray with us or send us kind words. God is the only way we’ve been able to do this business. Phil and I both immediately give the credit to God. He deserves to glory. We’ve also made some lifetime friends through this journey. Phil and I look at each other often and just say, Wow!! We’re blessed!! We look forward to serving the community. We couldn’t do it with out yall!! Thank yall again from the bottom of our hearts. 🦆 Calling All Duck Callers! 2024 Teal Season Still Starts Tomorrow! 🦆

After the effects of Hurricane Francine, we are happy to announce that Teal Season will still be kicking off tomorrow, September 14th as planned. The 2024 teal season will run through September 29. Just a reminder that only teal species (blue-winged, green-winged, and cinnamon teal) may be harvested during the early September season. Teal may also be harvested during the regular duck hunting season, which begins in November.

👉All waterfowl hunters 16+ need a Federal Duck Stamp.
👉Hunters 18+ must have a basic hunting license and HIP certification.

I just wanted to give a shout out to our shirt designer Lauren Myers Pauley. She is the best! She isn’t afraid of a challenge and she makes things happen. Heidi killed her first mallard a few years back and we had it mounted by Braden Floyd for her room. Phil had the idea to have a shirt designed for Bushley Bayou Outdoors to highlight Heidi ‘s first duck. We are just in awe of what Lauren sent us. This picture will be on the back of the shirt and our logo will be on the front on a pocket. She also sent a sweatshirt for Heidi to be able to see it in person. How awesome is that!!! We will be ordering this design soon. Stay tuned!!
