This thunderstorm rolled in while I was touring the Magnolia Plantation gardens and ground, near Charleston. Fortunately there was a covered patio connected to a cafe, to dash under.
It seemed like the perfect opportunity to pause for lunch!

Everyone who has been to Savannah talked about the huge barges that come down the river, loaded with containers. I thought, “What’s the big deal?” It IS big deal and these colorful barges are fun to watch. Unfortunately, I never caught one when I was walking near the river. I was usually in a riverside cafe. One of the most common effects from long flights is dehydration. While flying it’s very easy to become dehydrated due to the airplane cabin’s low humidity levels.As a result, you feel thirsty and your nose, throat and sinuses dry out. A headache frequently accompanies dehydration along with dry lips and skin.To counter dehydration, drink LOTS of water. Most people won’t. Why? They might have to use the restroom more. This is actually a bonus though, as getting up and moving frequently is another important tip.Those little cups of water offered during the flight are not enough. Carry your own water canister and refill it frequently.
