This place was a peaceful refuge for me and my partner and our dog. The location and dog-friendly elements were especially helpful for us--within walking distance of a trail to walk the dog, and only 5-10 min driving distance from coffee shop and restaurants, to meet up with friends. Frederick was communicative, flexible, and has artful taste in movies and books. The land on the property is really beautiful and the hot tub was clean. Would definitely stay again.

Our recent guest Devon at Luna Mesa stay.
My girlfriend and I spent the weekend here to get away from the city. Frederick has the perfect set up for stargazing up on the hill. A few surrounding homes but the property feels very private and peaceful. Highlight of my trip was staying out on the hill stargazing till 3AM. Very little light pollution so you can see ALL the stars! The whole property is filled with interesting art which makes it unique and fun for photos. Frederick has a nice working hot tub and the house is super comfy and clean. The property is a very short drive to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Loved my stay here would recommend checking it out if you are planning to take a trip to Joshua Tree! Thanks Frederick

Recent review from our guest staying at Artist Ranch.
This Airbnb is a really special place. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood close to the Joshua National Park entrance. We loved the property itself. It has lots of native vegetation, including Joshua Trees, and visiting wildlife. The host provided a bird feeder and seeds and we had daily visits by ground squirrels, quail, and songbirds. The property hosts an artist residency part of the year and we were delighted to have a beautifully designed art studio to use. There is also a separate art library building which is a cozy spot to read and work. The house (living space) had everything we needed with large windows and a sliding glass door to enjoy the views and the wildlife. The hot tub was great for relaxation. There are plenty of tables and places to sit indoors and out. We appreciated the original artwork on the walls and around the property. Frederick was a wonderful host and very responsive. We just loved the place and hope to return!

I love this cabin and haven't stayed here twice now. It's perfect for my partner and I with our two small dogs. Beautiful grounds to roam around on and spectacular views. Practical kitchen to make meals. I wouldn't stay here with more than two people, but other than that I couldn't ask for a better place!

Seriouly enjoyed the location a lot, what a much needed escape. First time taking a trip to Joshua Tree and it was better than what I thought it would be. The star gazing in the backyard was something I'll always remember, lots of space.
