Watching the desert glow as the sun sets, we can’t help but feel so grateful for these public lands that have shaped our lives in ways we never imagined. These wild spaces aren’t just a backdrop—they’re where we find inspiration, peace, and the most meaningful conversations.

The thought of selling off 3.3 million acres of protected land feels like selling pieces of our collective soul. When we imagine our 85-year-old selves looking back, we know we’ll be proud of choosing slow mornings in nature, of creating experiences more than consuming things, of protecting these sacred spaces that bring us all together.

Here’s to keeping public lands public, to art inspired by wide open spaces, and to all of you who believe in preserving these natural treasures for generations to come. 🌵💫 (and a link in our stories to tell your Senator a big fat no to selling off our public lands for profit)

In case you all missed it over on , we are so very excited to share our newest space—the Prickly Pear Casita on site at the inn in Tucson! This casita has access to all of the inn’s amenities including the canyon pool, hot spring hot tub, desert walking trails etc with the benefit of a little extra privacy and sleeping space for larger families or groups. With two king size beds, a crib, and the option of an additional floor mattress it sleeps 4 adults + 3 kids! Head to the link in our bio for more details 🌵✨

✨ JTH ARTIST RESIDENCY CALL ✨

As our world grows increasingly disconnected from nature, we are all witnesses to the consequences. But change begins with reconnection and unhurried observation... until we reawaken to nature’s wisdom
and beauty.

This summer, is offering a free week-long artist residency for up to 7 artists (the largest one we’ve ever done!) We’re seeking artists who yearn to deepen their relationship with the natural world and create works that ignite a longing to protect the earth—a desperate call to appreciate what we have.

One of our favorite ongoing projects together over the past five or so years has been photographing every full moon and new moon that we can. The photos have become a creative project that we hope to compile into a guided journal someday (would you all be into that?), and the moments standing under the stars and the moon have become some of our favorite moments together as a couple. 🌝🌚✨
