Winter is coming! Let’s ski/board Eaglecrest! ⛷️

If you thought it was feeling chillier than usual for an October day, you aren't alone! The cold weather across the panhandle overnight saw temperatures plummeting in many locations to well below normal. Juneau Airport broke its daily low temperature record - previously set back in 1961, while Sitka saw its daily low temperature record tied.

Winter is a beautiful time to visit Juneau! Skiing, snowshoe, hikes, and a vibrant downtown.

Juneau is starting to look like a winter wonderland!
We are expecting snow showers through the morning before we begin to dry out into Sunday.

Meet your hosts: Chris & Nichole live in Seattle area, but visit The Beach House quarterly (sometimes more!). This allows us to continue deep cleaning/making updates to an older house - maintaining it’s classic Alaskan charm while adding modern decor, art & comforts. The VIEW! is definitely unparalleled, as is the large flat lot & semi-private beach. We love beach combing, watching eagles & ravens, and long walks at sunset to see the cruise boats off! We are avid travellers and hikers, and love exploring new places & cultures. As a Native Alaskan family, we enjoy helping guests experience Tlingit culture while visiting Juneau - happy to suggest places to shop authentic art/wares as well as amazing museums and culture centers to visit. Just ask! We’ve recently travelled to Paris, Cabo, Cortona, Champagne, London, Provence, Cassis, Barcelona, Antibes, Chamonix, Monte Blanc, Venice, Whistler, San Diego, the San Juans, Chelan, and Juneau! We love staying in Airbnb’s to experience living like a ‘local’ & we think that’s one of the best parts of hosting - introducing guests to this place we love, so they can live like locals in Juneau. The Waterfront Beach House is ready for you! Come “Experience, Relax, Enjoy!” 🏡🎣🌊🐋⛰️🚢✈️
