We are so happy to announce our employees of the 2024 SEASON! 😎💪🚁
These two have been an outstanding addition to our team and we are so sad that the season is almost over. Both of them have added such a bright spot to our team, they have been hard working, dedicated and enthusiastic.
Please aid us in congratulating Chris and Sophia as the 2024 Tour Employees of the Season!
About these two stellar employees:
Chris’s favorite part of the season has been meeting so many new people. “I’ve learned so much about different parts of the country just from getting to know people from so many different places.”
Her favorite part about Juneau is without a doubt the outdoors. “I’d never really hiked before I came here and now it’s all I really think about. I’d never seen a bald eagle or a bear in the wild and now I see them when I’m just walking down the street. It’s amazing.”
Her favorite part of her job is probably the perks. “I’d never been in a helicopter, been on a glacier, never been dog sledding, never really even spoke to a pilot before. There’s just been so many firsts for me here.”
Sophia’s favorite part of the season has been going on our tour trades with all the awesome friends she’s made while working at Coastal. “There’s so many incredible adventures to choose from a variety of companies. Whether we’re paddling or flying, making such unique and adventurous memories with my friends has been my favorite souvenir from this season.”
Sophia’s favorite part about Juneau has been all the opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. “Prior to moving to Alaska, hiking wasn’t an activity I got to do often. Now, not only are there dozens of hikes to choose from, but also infrastructure is well maintained and accessible even to beginner hikers like myself. Juneau is truly the prettiest state capitol in the country.”
Sophia’s favorite part of her job has been working with her coworkers. “It’s been an honor and privilege to lead a team of such kind, competent, and smart individuals. It was quick and easy becoming friends with everyone, and it is their hard work, joy and fun personalities that have made my job enjoyable.”
