First day of the 2022 season!
Our first day was Sunday and we are so happy to welcome people to our visitors center again!
The price for a tour is still $28.30 after tax for adults and $16.75 after tax for children ages 6-12 (5 and under are free!).
And don’t forget to mention if you’re a local; we give locals a free visitors center pass when you buy a tour at full price. This lets you bypass our admission price to the visitors center (16.75 after tax) and any tour you purchase after that would be discounted to 16.75 after tax for adults or 13.60 after tax for children ages 6-12.
Follow us TikTok @Glacier_Gardens for more garden content!
A quick time-lapse of some of our year-round employees planting rooted cuttings for spring! Outside it is 32 degrees Fahrenheit, inside it can get to 80 degrees or higher! Perfect for helping our baby plants grow.
Cleaning out Our Visitors Center
We are often asked, what do we do in the winter?
We clean out our visitors center and convert it back into our main greenhouse for storing and growing new plants! We also keep over 1200 hanging baskets and other perennials for locals over the winter and move them to our nursery location in January to begin the replanting and repotting process.
Eaglet Feeding at Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure
Feeding time!
What a glorious day as the rain returns to our temperate rainforest <3
The orange mushroom towards the end is an edible fungus known as "chicken of the woods" (probably Laetiporus sulphureus). Cook before you eat these, and harvest when they first pop out before they get woody like this one.
The red berries toward the end of the video are one of the many edible berries in our forest, called red huckleberry (Vaccinium parvifolium), and are a favorite treat locally.
Meet the family this year:
