Wonderful groups in Juneau today! Such happy guest! We had rain yes and fog yes and it was a bit chilly, but every face was smiling and happy! It was a great day! Thank you all for visiting Juneau and touring on the Big Orange Bus with us! We look for to seeing you again!

Looking for office assistant to help with all things office! Duties would include daily bookkeeping, answering phone, filing, computers and a knowledge of spreadsheet and QuickBooks is preferred. Short season this year but would love a long term Team Member that wouldn’t mind working hard all summer and be rewarded with winters off.
Hourly wage is depending on experience.

Please flood the CDC and the Canadian Officials with request to open cruising to Alaska and the lower 48! It’s time!!!

Today, the Alaska State House passed Senate Joint Resolution 9, sponsored by Senator Jesse Kiehl, to encourage the United States Congress and the President to temporarily pause federal laws currently blocking all chance of large cruise ships visiting the state. The Passenger Vessel Services Act requires large cruise ships to stop in at least one international port. On February 2, 2021, the Canadian government closed its ports to cruise ships for the entire 2021 season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

All three members of Alaska’s Congressional delegation have introduced bills to make the temporary changes SJR 9 requests.

As cruising resumes elsewhere in the world, Alaska workers and businesses need the opportunity for COVID-safe commerce. SJR 9 recognizes the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s October, 2020 framework for cruise ships in U.S. waters. That order requires stringent health measures to keep US ports safe.

“With over 2 million visitors to Alaska every year, many Alaska families depend on a successful tourism season to put food on the table and a roof over their heads. In 2019, tourism was responsible for $4 billion of economic activity in Alaska. We can’t afford to miss a second season in a row. With vaccination becoming widespread, we have the tools in place to keep Alaskans and visitors safe. That can give Alaska workers and businesses a chance.” - Senator Jesse Kiehl
