While messing around with “pigeon” pose I have the wrap grip and try. Just wanted to see how close I can get if at all. Shocked myself!

Many years ago during a bikram class where many people seem to compete the instructor reminded us that is is “yoga practice not yoga perfection”! That changed it right then and there for me!

Each pose is a journey within. Find where you can go it. Feel it out. To me yoga is more of an inward journey. A practice.

Over 50 now. Kiss my ass I am feeling proud here ok?!

Never know how far you can go unless you try. May just surprise yourself!

Afternoon mission to with to check it out. This is considered “baby jaws” since it is small by this locations standards. We were pleasantly surprised by the perfect conditions to get a first taste. Liam’s first time towing and I’ve only towed twice before.

The day before was far bigger and dangerous. The pro show was 🔥 so much respect for those who not only ride it but tremendous respect for the guardians who keep them safe! crew is a well oiled machine!

Liam here is 16 years old and part of the new generation of up coming rippers. Perfect time to get a taste of it on the small day without anyone out.

Still dangerous AF and got the pulse up! Learned a few things about driving at this spot.

Respect the spot or it will show you the meaning. 💪 it will anyway.

I had no clue anyone was on the cliff watching. Glad I didn’t know Liam’s parents were lol and thanks for trusting me with your boy! Liam is highly skilled and well trained. Looking forward to what he does in the future!

The launch here is never easy. Narrow beach, self launch the kite, walk across the reef that is smooth, then sharp, with holes, and waves breaking at you.

9/11/01 I worked at Ernst & Young in Lyndhurst New Jersey. I lived near by. Used to walk to work. The twin towers were easy to see 8 miles away.

Night before I left to Manasquan Inlet am hour south to be up early to surf. The forecast was epic! I took the day off from work to go surf. Forecast was right! Perfect over head perfection and flawless weather as the sun came up. Got in the water approx 7:30. Had as good of a session I could ask for. Funny to think back, I wasn’t quite experienced back then. Stoke levels were all time as I walked up the beach and grabbed my back pack. Called a friend who just to pass the time and he informed me what happened. I looked north toward NYC not believing…. Coils see the smoke as seen in this picture much further away. The weather was perfect, a rare day of perfection for the area making it hard to believe it could be the only cloud in the sky. Boats started leaving the inlet heading up the coast. That swell saves lives. Saturday 21 years later I met a guy who was also surfing that day. He said his friend worked at Canter Fitzgerald (top floor of one of the towers) he talked his friend into staying in the water and take the later train. Luckily he did! The entire company perished except those who didn’t go in that day. and tragically went to work at Canter.
Paul Rizza and aí had planned to see sept 22nd at The Garden. Paul was on the 80th floor. I had his ticket.

The county has kept the gates locked till later in the am making the early surfers park on the side of a moan rd here on Maui. This causes great hazards. There have been accidents, close calls, road rage, and break ins bc Of this. Adding to an inconvenience of having to walk down a hill or io the street and then down the hill just to access the water.

Open Ho'okipa Beach Park by sunrise so no one gets injured on Hana Hwy
