Our tour guides are always on the lookout for the unique and unexpected! This photo, taken by one of our guides, shows a pair of Nene geese, Hawaii's state bird, enjoying a little break in a parking lot.

The Nene is a critically endangered species, but thanks to conservation efforts, their numbers are slowly increasing. We're always happy to see these beautiful birds thriving in their natural habitat.
