The company was founded by long-time Hawaii resident, Jeremy Sosner, who has spent 30 years in hospitality and resort management with Hyatt Hotels, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Mauna Kea Resort and Hualalai Development Company, home to the award-winning Four Seasons Resort. Jeremy started his career in hotel sales and marketing, positioning and branding many of Hawaii’s leading resort hotels. After joinin
g Hualalai in 2000, Jeremy put his marketing and real estate skills to work forming Hualalai Villas and Homes for then owner, Kajima Corporation that provides high quality property management services for Hualalai homeowners, including housekeeping, maintenance, marketing and vacation rental sales. After 12 years on the Big Island, Jeremy and his family relocated back to their home on Oahu in 2009. “ As much as we enjoyed living on the neighbor islands, it’s nice to be back in Honolulu and we love living in Kailua. It’s a great little beach town with wonderful restaurants, shopping and two of the best beaches in Hawaii – Kailua and Lanikai. I enjoy running a business that helps visitors find the right accommodations as well as assisting homeowners who live here. It’s the best of both worlds.”
Jeremy became a licensed Hawaii Real Estate Broker in 2007 and is a privileged member of the Honolulu Board of Realtors. In his spare time, he leads the Men’s Ministry of Hope Chapel Kahala, that provides community service work to the Kahala community. He is also a volunteer coordinator with the Blood Bank of Hawaii. Jeremy and his wife Sissy, an agent with Coldwell Banker Pacific reside in Kailua with two of their four children. Jeremy has a staff of professional realtors to assist you in finding the perfect beach home for your Hawaiian holidays. Try out the Maili Pink Pillbox trail for outstanding views of the west side, ʻEhukai Pillbox for phenomenal views of the North Shore, or Puʻu Maʻeliʻeli (Digging Hill Pillbox) for sweeping views of the eastern shores. Don’t forget your water!

“We just came back home from our stay at Kailua Kai. We were a family of 10 ranging from 18 mo-84 years. This home was perfect for all of us. The house is appointed well with from the kitchen to the beach equipment. Everything we needed from boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, yard toys. The large lawn lawn leads to beautiful Kailua beach and Kailua town is just minutes from the house. It’s very private and everything was clean and ready for our arrival. Steven with Private Homes Hawaii was fantastic! Highly recommend. We will for sure be back!! Mahalo for our best family vacation!”

Happy National Lighthouse Day! Be sure to visit Makapuʻu Lighthouse on your trip to Oʻahu. Built in 1909, Makapuʻu marks the island’s eastern most point. A paved trail guides you up the summit to the lighthouse. Along the way, be sure to look out along the horizon and you may spot the islands of Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi. In winter months you may even spot a humpback whale or two!

“This house absolutely lived up to the pictures! Beautiful house in a fabulous location - you can roll right off the lawn onto a beach that is mostly empty. Lots of room, a very well stocked kitchen, lovely furnishings, comfortable beds and a great property management team. Couldn't ask for more!”

For centuries, communities spanning the globe have found various ways to honor nature and the environment. However, the appreciation of trees and forests in modern times can be largely attributed to Arbor Day.
The origins of Arbor Day date back to the early 1870s in Nebraska City. A journalist by the name of Julius Sterling Morton moved to the state with his wife in 1854. The couple purchased 160 acres in Nebraska City and planted a wide variety of trees and shrubs in what was a primarily a flat stretch of desolate plain. On January 7, 1872, Morton proposed a day that would encourage all Nebraskans to plant trees in their community. The agriculture board agreed, and after some back-and-forth about the title—the event was originally going to be called “Sylvan Day” in reference to forest trees—Morton convinced everyone that the day should reflect the appreciation of all trees, and “Arbor Day” was born. Although most of the nation celebrates today, Hawaii actually celebrates Arbor Day on the first Friday of November.
