Tip Tuesday!

Let’s talk about DiVine at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! This muse of nature really blends in; it took me several years and many trips to finally see her doing her thing!

Tip: DiVine is near the park entrance, by Garden Gate Gifts. When entering the park, go right rather than left. If exiting the park, hook a left rather than exiting to the right. 🙂

Her times are somewhat limited, so check when she performs in your My Disney Experience app!

My favorite Monday! Battle of the west coast parks… Disneyland vs California Adventure!

While I know Disneyland is the original Disney park, I can’t lie- I prefer California Adventure. I’m a big Marvel fan, I love meeting Baymax, I enjoy Pixar Pier a ton, and I just love the breathing space around me at DCA. Disneyland just feels a little too cramped for this anxious traveler!

Help me out, Disneyland fans- do you prefer Disneyland Park, or Disney’s California Adventure?

Way back Wednesday!

Okay, not super way back, but remember KiteTails at Animal Kingdom? Feels a little bit like a fever dream now. The show ran from October 1st, 2021 through September 22nd, 2022.

That amphitheater is still sitting there vacant… What do you think they should do with it? Bring back another nighttime show? Something for daytime? Bulldoze the whole thing in favor of something new?

🚨 WALT DISNEY WORLD NEWS! 🚨

Your last chance to experience spiders dropping from the ceiling and being stung in the backside will be March 16th; it’s been announced that It’s Tough to be a Bug will officially close at Animal Kingdom on March 17th, 2025!

Disney is currently developing a new experience for the space: “Zootopia: Better Zoogether.” This new show will open in the winter of 2025, with no exact date given at this time.

Fun Friday!

Looking for something different to do during your Walt Disney World vacation? Try Foot Golf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course!

This 9-hole game combines soccer with golf. When played in groups of four, nine holes of FootGolf should take approximately an hour and a half (much like nine holes of traditional golf). While anyone can play, this activity is perfect for tweens, teens and adults!

FootGolf play is available after 4:00pm until 3/8/25, and after 5:00pm the rest of the year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. You’ll find the Oak Trail course near Disney’s Polynesian Resort!

Tip Tuesday!

Maximize lower crowd times at Walt Disney World by waking up early and hitting “rope drop.” Rope drop was a term coined when Cast Members would hold a physical rope up at park open, and literally drop it to let guests in. Today, rope drop is mostly a metaphor for getting to the park for Early Entry (a perk for on-site Disney guests)!

By strategizing certain rides at rope drop, you can beat some of the longer lines for popular attractions. It’s also a great time to explore places like Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios before they are full of people!

My Favorite Monday!

What’s my favorite place to eat with Mickey & Minnie? There are quite a few places to eat with our favorite mice. Topolino’s breakfast ranks supreme for me, as we love their cute artist outfits (Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy are at this meal) and the food is delicious. I appreciate that I don’t have to visit a buffet at this one; I love a plated meal!

You can also meet both Mickey and Minnie at Chef Mickey’s breakfast or dinner, and Hollywood & Vine lunch or dinner. Minnie appears at Cape May Cafe breakfast, and Mickey is typically at Tusker House (all meals), Garden Grill (all meals) and ‘Ohana breakfast.

You know what’s really hard?

Having to say goodbye to some of your besties in 2025. 🫶😭

🍽️ Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will close permanently on May 10th, 2025.

🍕 PizzeRizzo will close permanently on June 7th, 2025.

🎬 …and MuppetVision 3D will close permanently on June 7th, 2025.

These closures will be in anticipation of the new Monsters Inc themed land coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. No update yet for Rock n Roller Coaster’s closure and Muppet retheme.

While I’m pro-progress, I’m terribly sad to lose this little corner of Muppet happiness so soon! What do you think, are you ready for Mike & Sully, or sad to see Kermit & Piggy go?

Planning a pool day at your Walt Disney World resort? Good news for your little travelers- Disney provides life jackets at the pool, so you can leave your flotation devices at home. On our first trip as a family, I made the mistake of using up precious suitcase room with a bulky puddle jumper! 🙂

The official ride lineup for Early Park Entry for Epic Universe is here!

Early Park Entry (a perk for guests staying at an on-property Universal Orlando Hotel only) will include all 3 attractions in Super Nintendo World as well as Celestial Park's Stardust Racers rollercoaster.

Early Park Entry for Epic will begin on May 23rd, the day after the official Epic Universe's opening. No Early Park Entry on opening day!
