ICYMI: Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios will permanently close in September of 2025 to make way for a new attraction.

The coaster opened in August of 2009, and is known for its 167 ft vertical lift and iconic musical tracklist guests could individually choose from. Truly a unique ride!

If it seems too incredible to be true, it probably is! Be wary of fake Disney news on TikTok, Instagram, and other social media sites. ESPECIALLY if it comes from Mouse Trap News, which is a satirical Disney site much like The Onion.

Trust me to be your super sleuth if you have a question about any Disney news you’ve seen! If it’s not official from Disney, it’s not official.

My favorite Monday! What’s my favorite resort to stay at during the holidays?

This is a tough choice, because all of the resorts offer a little something special at the holidays! I think for rustic holiday charm, I would go with Wilderness Lodge. Here’s why!
- It’s a little out of the way (being accessible by boat from Magic Kingdom, but not monorail), so it lacks some of the busy feel of the monorail resorts. But- you can still take a nice boat to Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
- It’s one of the cheaper Deluxe resorts, giving you some Deluxe amenities for a smaller price tag than Grand Floridian. 🙂
- The tree!! It’s magnificent.

You really can’t go wrong with any of the Walt Disney World resorts at Christmas time. It’s a magical time to stay in “the bubble!” Do you have a favorite resort for the holidays?

“What’s your can’t miss holiday attraction at Walt Disney World?”

MERRY MENAGERIE!! Am I obsessed with these adorable puppets? Maybe. But if loving these sweet animals is wrong, I don’t want to be right!

This Animal Kingdom staple includes reindeer, foxes, polar bears, penguins, birds, and seals accompanied by live musicians. I can’t explain how alive they feel, despite the fact that you can see the puppeteers! If you plan to visit Animal Kingdom during the holiday season, don’t miss these cuties.

ICYMI: dates for the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival have been announced! Look for topiaries to be blooming from March 5th through June 2nd, 2025.

Disney also announced Garden Rocks performers for March, which include:

- March 7, 8 – Tommy DeCarlo, former lead singer of Boston
- March 9, 10 – Air Supply – 50th Anniversary Celebration
- March 14, 15 – Blue October
- March 16, 17 – Rick Springfield
- March 21, 22 – Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone
- March 23, 24 – 38 Special
- March 28, 29 – Jason Scheff, Longtime singer of Chicago

This is a beautiful festival with fun activities for kids, too! Kit always enjoys the butterfly house and finding Spike the Bee in his scavenger hunt.

Way Back Wednesday!

During our holiday 2018 trip, we had a silhouette done of Kit on Main Street. You’ll find the stand situated between between China Closet and Crystal Arts (with a secondary location in Liberty Square)!

A silhouette portrait will run $14, or a pet silhouette can be made for $18. Disney also offers oval frames for $13.95. These prices exclude tax!

This is such a fun keepsake from your vacation; I love looking at Kit’s little profile in my den! If you miss out at Magic Kingdon, you’ll find silhouette stands in Disney Springs in The Marketplace area and at EPCOT in the France Pavilion, as well.

Where to Stay Wednesday! On my recent trip to Disneyland, I stayed at the Disneyland Hotel. This iconic hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the parks, and I loved the modernized 1950s feel!
