Green Top Tavern is a hometown bar through and through. They serve up mouthwatering burgers and drinks. Sip on some brews while picking your jam on Touchtunes, and playing darts and pool.

They're also part of the central commons social district and have a prime spot on Bates Alley for warm nights on the patio!

Did you know that Kalamazoo boasts 11 distinct historic districts, each centered around a unique resource?

Among these is the Haymarket District, where development took root as early as the 1830s. The construction of the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad Depot in 1870 accelerated its growth, transforming it into a bustling center for retail, wholesaling, and light manufacturing.

This district also served as the commercial heart for the German community. Notably, the Desenberg Block at 251 East Michigan Avenue stands as Michigan’s sole remaining example of the architectural genius of Chicago's Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan.
