We are having SOME weather! ...

Wind Blown Icicles and lots more snow on Mauna Kea while the rest of the island receives 1-3" of rain per hour as a big tropical storm coming from the South passes over us.

Cinderella stories do exist…Luke Shepardson wins the prestigious Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational. Shepardson, a Honolulu lifeguard surfing during his break from work, defeats the worlds best big wave riders in one of the largest Eddie contests ever held. For those that don’t know the back story, Eddie Aikau was the first Hawaiian lifeguard on Oahu’s north shore, who was lost a sea trying to paddle for help when the Hokulea voyaging canoe overturned in heavy seas. Shepardson keeps the life guarding tradition alive! Congratulations!!!

Happy Winter! ❄️ The summit of Maunakea is dressed appropriately for the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere today. Looks like we might have a white Christmas! FYI: The Hawaiian translation of winter solstice is “ka māuiki'iki'i o ka ho'oilo” (the solstice of the winter); its proper noun/name is "Ke Ala Polohiwa a Kanaloa" (The Black Glistening Path of Kanaloa).

From 🌋Hō’ailona - Sign, omen, message

We are in very significant times as a species on this earth. Around the world there are signs that have been given to us from the ancient ones, the spirit of the Earth, & our star ancestors.

Here in Hawai’i, many hō’ailona in this year alone have been given to our people to serve as reminders and indicators of what is to come. These hō’ailona , if observed and honored, grant us deep insight on the way ‘Iō/Akua/Kumu Ola, the Source, is guiding all of Creation.

To have Mauna Loa erupt (for the first time since ‘84) and Tūtū Pele make her mana visible for us on Lā Kū’oko’a (Hawaiian Independence Day), this hō’ailona must be considered in its full glory.

We are living in transformative times.

We are living in an era where much changes are taking place multi-dimensionally. Cosmic changes breed earth changes.

As above, so below.

The forces that over exert authority on Earth & in Hawai’i, are being reminded of their place in the Supreme Order.

Our kūpuna were skilled observers of these hō’ailona yet most of us have surrendered this skill for modern survival.

We must see…

We must honor…

When will humanity as a whole, especially those blindly leading this sickly society, realize

“He Ali’i ka ‘āina, he kauwa ke kanaka”

The land will always be our utmost authority that we as humans must serve with honor, diligence, & with a spirit of stewardship of the highest good.

may the mana of both Pele & Poli’ahu touch your soul with divine truth & pono.

e ola mau

What do you see coming for Hawai’i, our ‘āina, and the people?
