One of our favorite Thanksgivings at the cabin was spent with family visiting from California and North Carolina. We had our big holiday feast catered and several delicious pies from . We laughed, we ate, we made wonderful memories. Here’s to making new memories this Thanksgiving, and spending time with those who matter to you most! We’re sure grateful for all of you!

Book your stay on Log Lake in Kalkaska. Beautiful views! Super comfy and cozy! Very quiet location just minutes from downtown, restaurants, groceries and the intersection of M72 and US131, so it’s perfect for day trips. A few minutes from trails for hiking, biking, and snowmobiling. 30 minutes to Schuss Mountain or Elk Rapids. A very pretty 45 minute drive to Traverse City. An hour to Petoskey, Charlevoix or Sleeping Bear Dunes/ Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive. Enjoy your days relaxing by the lake, or head out on day trips to explore Northern Michigan’s most beautiful sights!

We’re going to be doing things differently this winter season. If you’d like to book a stay for a week or more, or even a month or more, please contact our Property Manager at (231) 346-4100. (Discounts will be given from the usual nightly rate.) The cost of staying open all winter long outweighs the occasional three-night weekend stays that book in the off-season.

We had a little rain throughout the morning so we grabbed lunch in Elk Rapids and ran a couple errands. Spent the afternoon and evening boating on the lake with the kids and a good friend visiting. Perfect night for boating!

💜If only you could smell this lavender from these photos! is ABSOLUTELY a must-see! So many gorgeous fields with every kind of lavender! They offer guided tours on golf carts, and have the most amazing assortment of lavender goods!🪻
