ing to enjoy the great outdoors and/or take in the many amenities of this vacation destination. Hikers and bicyclists will enjoy the North Country Trail. It can be accessed right off the back of our property. Iceman Challenge participants will find She-La Shed to be a perfect base for training weekends or for the weekend of the Challenge. Choose any direction and take a short drive to find one of the many tourist destinations that Up North Michigan has to offer. Traverse City is only 30 minutes away where the shops, wineries, beaches and restaurants are abundant. Elk Rapids is charming and also only a half hour drive. Beautiful Petoskey is an hour away and 15 minutes more will land you in Charlevoix or Harbor Springs. Fish in our own 1/4 mile of meandering blue ribbon trout stream. Marvel at the beauty of Torch Lake and the connecting chain of lakes that you can cruise for days, also only a 30 minute drive. Canoe and kayak enthusiasts will enjoy Guernsey Lake, just up the road, or drop your vessels in at The Forks Campground. And remember, the month of October is gorgeous with many routes leading to a color tour that you won't soon forget and the traffic to the northern hot spots are much less congested. There's so much to do, you will feel you have little time to get it all in! You will be comfortable at She-La Shed and you will have all you need to enjoy your stay. Hopefully you will return to enjoy all that time didn't allow you to explore on your first visit.
