Although we wish we could provide perfect weather on all of our trips we have found that "bad" weather enriches the river experience, pushing guides and guests beyond their comfort zones and into a deeper engagement with the environment and with each other. While it can complicate the trip, it also enhances its value, making the trip not just a physical journey, but a profound exploration of resilience, camaraderie, and the human spirit!

Happy First Day of Spring 🌻
We hope this double waterfall brings you a little joy on this Monday!
A couple of months ago we posted a video of some dory boats running Hance Rapid. Here is one of our S-rigs in the same rapid. Glade is running the boat while Adam B. talks to Ana about the run. This is one of the ways our trainees learn to run the rapids.
Horn Creek Rapid is rated at an 8 on the National Park's rapid rating scale - and is one of our favorites!

What do we do when a flash flood turns the road at Pearce Ferry into a small river? Call Canyon Jetboat Services! They brought their big truck to tow us across and get our crew safely back on the road. The Grand Canyon is a dynamic environment and plans can change fast as we adapt to changing conditions. Both trucks waited until the rain had stopped and the flood started to recede before moving forward with the plan to cross!
Our most popular trip is our September 16-day dory trip and we were able to add a second one to our 2024 schedule! Trip date: September 24- October 9, 2024. Now booking at www.gcex.com or at 1-800-544-2691.

MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. National Parks are waiving entrance fees today and many are hosting a variety of service projects.
Our office is closed today in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. We are out giving back to our communities and encourage you to do the same!
